Replaced the factory Geolander 245/70/17 with Falken Wildpeak 285/70/17 A/T4W.

No lift and no rub at all on the stock rim. I can feel the weight of the tire at first drive but seems fine after taking a few short drives. Tires seem as quiet as the factory ones that they replaced. So far very happy with the look and stance of the SR5. Also upgraded to the TRD center caps.
Will post an update in a few days.

How’s the MPGs lol? Mine came from the dealer with upgraded nitto 265/65/17 and I don’t get above 21MPG.

Fine for me I suppose as the stocks look anemic on this frame and body so everything’s a trade off.

I’m not sure yet, I will fill up for the first time this weekend and let you know. I did notice the speedo is 2 miles per hour off with the bigger tires. I am hoping the dealer can reprogram that.

Did it require an offset or was that by choice. I really don't understand offset so excuse my lack of knowledge. I am guessing the offset moves the tire out or in. In concept, I may not like this because of potential additional stress and load on the other components. I see Burgi reported a +55 offset. Is that a documented offset for the stock SR5 wheels?

My use case is probably different to most. I have a new SR5 that will be 95% on road use in a city and state that has awful roads (Potholes, ruts, bumps). I am looking for as much sidewall and width possible to absorb the road imperfections. My other vehicle is a Ford Escape with 19" rims and very little sidewall. Each bump feels like its ripping the car apart!

I don't need off-road tires but if they are, I want as quite as possible. I equally do not want to add any stresses to the suspension components or have too much "poke". Originally I thought of going from the 245/70/17's to 285/70/17's. I guess there is some middle ground too like a 265?

Any knowledge and recommendations welcomed.

Be careful, that specific tire is too wide for that wheel according to the Falken website. I considered those last week, but they call for a 7.5 inch wide wheel and the stock sr5 wheel is 7 inches wide.

These tires mounted up to the stock rim with no problem. They are extremely quiet and handle the road well. There's not much of a difference between the stock 245s and these 285s. As far as Comfort .
