Oh I totally agree with you.yeah its frustrating on the keeping the customer informed but toyota usa really doesnt have a process in place like the big 3 on personal vehicle build.
toyota really doesnt have a build process in place since the way they build vehicles is not typical.
toyota builds vehicles to a program/process that is mostly numbers algorithm. and if a customer wants a specific model/trim/option load out, that customer has to wait until the computer generates that vehicle on the assembly line and then allocates that specific build to a dealer. you cant actually order a vehicle the way you want, you have to wait.
its both a good thing and bad thing.
good as you dont have a wildly varying combo to build all the time from a manufacturer's standpoint but bad for customer fulfillments.
bad as you have to wait and wait for it to be built, but good as you dont have the quality issues inherent like the big 3 where you can build the same vehicle 1000 different ways vs 100
Iām just trying to keep faith that itās Toyota and the quality is generally top tier and their vehicles are held up well. Iām really hoping this qc isnāt a sign of a lemon.
