A lot has been said about the interview-including that all the numbers are still subject to change. Personally I think the 5k limit was due to the Harvester being designed for max range when not towing. But that is a compromise that probably can easily be adjusted (but then the real question is should it be adjusted). Most people don't tow much if at all. Any significant reduction of total range could easily be more harmful to most people than a increase in maximum load while towing. Not to mention, significant is a very subjective term. Is 50miles significant, 100 miles?

Reduced payload from extra Harvester weight = Reduced towing capacity

The rear axle is only rated for so much weight

Not range related.
