I have an android phone and I was able to turn off the notifications. I can still manually check the app but my phone doesn't go beep anymore.

Correct, although that turns off all notifications. Having the capability from within the app should give more granularity.

is waiting a few minutes to get warm really that big of a deal?
here when it's -30C, it is absolutely a big deal lol. hard to clear the windows of ice sometimes without the heat and defrosters going, to help from the inside - not to mention comfort when you do get the windows all scraped and can finally get in out of the cold.

Mine did the same. Even took it to Toyota. They said.....start your car, and press the SOS button. Say no to the first question asking if you have an emergency. Talk to the SOS person, tell them your issue. They created a ticket for the technician and took my phone number. They called 5 days later and and had it fixed. No problems since. That was in May.
When I was told my connected subscription was up after about a week, my dealer told me to call Toyota at 1-800-331-4331. They had heard of this issue and said it could be a few days to a week to fix....but called me the next day and it was fixed.

Couldn’t agree more. That remote start in Wisconsin is major huge.

After owning this baby for two weeks now, I can honestly say that the Toyota app is annoying. I regularly get "2025 4Runner Hybrid has multiple vehicle alerts, please check app for more details." It's usually complaining that windows have been left open and doors are unlocked even though I'm in my garage. Sadly, there's no way to turn off certain notifications. What's worse is that the app has a list of notifications but there's no detail to them whatsoever. Really poor design.
Mine has been telling me the same thing and doesn’t really show anything when you open it like you mentioned. It keeps telling me to check the rear seats too for some reason even though there nothing back there.

If you open the app and tap on the profile icon in the upper right corner, then tap "account", then tap notification settings; you can select which notifications you would like to receive. I was also annoyed of being reminded that my windows are down or doors are unlocked. Hope this helps.

I think the app is listening. I just used it to lock my doors and it asked me if I liked the app or not. Squeaky wheels, you know, so I clicked "no" and it asked me what aspects I didn't like. I clicked on notifications and remote start. Maybe if enough of us do that they'll improve it.

OK then...I guess I can submit to that explanation :)

Thanks...I thought I had found that, but the rear seat notification was still on (not now!). Thinking back, I think I turned off the notification in the vehicle but that did not do the app.

You can lock/unlock the doors from the app but you can't open/close the windows.
