I just ordered these and need to figure out the blind bolt sitation, but can you use these as a step? My wife is short and this is her daily so was hoping they are functional as a running board. Thanks!

hmm…as far as a “running board” type step its possible but not ideal, IMO. It’s kind of shallow, not a lot of room to put your foot on it. No one in my family uses them as such (wife and kid). It’s more for protection than stepping. You may want to go aftermarket if you want a step and slider combo.

I had 12 holes that needed to be filled on my frame, but this number appears to fluctuate between trims. I would probably get the sliders in first and check under your frame to verify what you need.

Would have been a whole lot easier if toyota would have just threaded the holes, huh? Yeah, I think I spent probably $100 to get them put on too.
