mine too.. mine has been there since 5/23Updated again from my dealership, mine is still on a qc hold of 42 days from 05/15 in Long Beach![]()
Thanks. These locations is where the options are indeed installed. Vehicles get prep for the dealership, unwrapped, options installed, etc.
if i remember correctly, most PIO are done at the factory off site before being loaded to a railcar. Are these locations different from where the vehicles get there options installed?
Are these locations just transfer points from rail to car carrier?
Please clarify what actually happens at these locations.
I did visit the previous Jacksonville port (a long time ago, before westlake) When the cars get off the boat they looked like they were used. (They are wrapped and coated for travel) They clean them up, there was a pin striping section back then, and option install (light in the cargo area, etc...) So there was/is some options being installed at the port. But that was eons ago, things might have changed.if i remember correctly, most PIO are done at the factory off site before being loaded to a railcar.
but dont hold me to that. all i have ever seen is parking lots for railcar unloads. i havent been able to find a regional master port location showing a staging area where you could install options.
only person that could answer that is if someone is a member and actually works at a regional port and installs PIO items there.
if not then my first statement about PIO being installed at an off site location at the factory holds true.
Newark NJ looks like the have a Toyota Site at the port https://maps.app.goo.gl/LhsygcqbVCXn6wZG8?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copyI did visit the previous Jacksonville port (a long time ago, before westlake) When the cars get off the boat they looked like they were used. Yeah, I was told mine is still on the qc hold, processing through Long Beach then will go to Denver and be trucked here to Colorado Springs. Was supposed to get it mid May…and here we arein my case when my 4runner gets allocated, it will ship into portland, then railcar to kansas city port, then railcar to a smaller railcar location in MN probably then truck carrier from there.
at least that what happened to my 2023 tundra from texas
