What is "Quality Hold" Status

lol, our 2023 tundra was put into QC hold in 16-dec-2022 and didnt come out of hold until 15-feb-2023

Yeah I would be happy with two months at this point…not sure it will be that quick lol

Just spoke to my dealership and mine is at the VPC and should be at the dealership within a week. It was supposed to have been here by May 24.

Yeah that's pretty much what is happening to me, 2 months... QC Hold May 21st, ESTIMATED (not even sure yet) July 15th... siiigh... I needed to tow something at the end of June, this is starting to suck big time...

It seems like vehicles are SLOWLY starting to trickle through to dealers. Does Toyota share QC details with the dealer? I think buyers should know what was done as part of the QC inspection and work?

toyota doesnt share qc hold status info to dealers officially. unofficially dealers can get info though by other means.

the only info dealers get is qc hold status and duration via dealerdaily but that is the extent of info conveyed to dealers.

My 4Runner was put on QC Hold during the last week of May. Was due to arrive by 30 MAY 2025. Dates went blank in allocation spreadsheet. Looked today and date for ETA updated to June 9 - June 10. Reached out to my dealership for an update. Keeping fingers crossed!

Well as of last week the hold is labeled QC534-Air dam service/repair. So it is some work related to the air dam on the front of the vehicle.

ETA at dealership. I spoke with my dealership a few minutes ago and the dates of I see in the allocation sheet for ETA essentially means the vehicle is due to arrive any day now.

I put a down payment on mine on May 6. It's been stuck on a quality hold since May 16, but it made it to fort worth (I live in Dallas). Per my dealer it changed from "quality hold" to "quality hold confirmation" last week. My vehicle is on the spreadsheet but the status hasn't been updated. It still says factory to port and a delivery estimate between 5-18 and 6-7, which didn't happen. Is there another more updated spreadsheet? Or are some vehicles not updated?

Yeah mine is on a quality hold confirmation as well with no eta. It’s in Long Beach and has been since early May. I’m assuming it will all be updated with an eta when they complete the qc process.

Still on QC-hold in Portland. Estimated to have gone on hold between 05/02-05/09 while waiting for transport to the railhead. Original delivery date was supposed to be 05/25.
