Spoke to my dealer yesterday and they think the trucks on hold will start to ship out from the port around end of June early July. At this point I'm less worried about the QC hold itself and more worried about the side effects from cars sitting for 2 months (tires, battery, heat, etc.). Mine arrived at port mid May.

They marked it sold around the first of June and it moved from the allocated spreadsheet. I havent been able to track dates and the dealer isn't very informative. It's still showing a window of 6/15-7/20 on the dealers website. At this point I would be happy with a 3 week delay. Dealer said it could be months, it's out of their hands.
From what I can tell they really had no idea. I bugged the crap out of them. They would’ve givin’ me all they had just to make me go away. Once it came in though, my dealer was on top of it. Arrived at the dealership at 9am. Ready shortly after noon.

Got a message from dealer… hold went from 42 to 56 days :/

I was told the same thing this past Wednesday that it moved to a 56 day hold. But then yesterday I was told that it suddenly changed from Long Beach to showing at the Denver railhead awaiting transfer to dealership. He suspects they added the 2 week additional time to allow for transfers and delivery.

I heard the air compressors for the trailhunters are in short supply similar to the jbl detachable speakers. Mine was an orp so it was the air dam issue and the jbl speaker.

My dealer just sent me this: “This is the response from the distribution center, "This unit is part of a TMNA mandated hold on 4Runner units. Current release date is set to 7/4 (subject to change) the details will update in DD365 as soon as there is a change or it is released"

Gulf states in Houston

original delivery date was 5/14

Mine text me the other day showing it has a hold until 07/06 but possibly will be sent sooner. I hope sooner and not keep getting pushed back. Been on VPC ready since 05/15

Sorry if this has been asked already, but I'm new to this stuff.
Curious to know, on the "Sold" spreadsheet, the "eta.currToDate" column, is that when it's supposed to arrive at the dealer, or when it's shipping? Mine has a date of this past Thursday. Mine was on QC hold, but dealer said it had been released.

Looking at the Dealer timeline provided by dealer. The messaging that is provided there that is not on the spreadsheets.

when the holds began there was a status of:
“UNDER STUDY CHECK BACK EVERY FRIDAY AFTER 12PM”
Which I assume the vehicle was not reviewed yet

I now have a status of:
“QUALITY CONFIRMATION ACTIVITY”
Which I’m assuming the QC is being confirmed and worked on? (I have a ORP, so prob checking brakes, JBL, air dam?)

Anyone here that has received their 4R and have old status that could confirm what they changed to?

Trying to make sense of the comments and when it will get out of the “Vessel Arrive” status on to “Processing”

So mine was in a very similar/identical situation and technically still is. My trd orp was built in March, arrived to Long Beach port on 04/28, was expected to me by 05/21 but was placed on the qc hold on 05/15.

I was told the same, check back every Friday at noon etc. it was initially placed on a 40 day hold, then a couple weeks ago it was changed to a 42 day hold from 05/15 and then this past Wednesday I was told it was changed to quality confirmation activity and on hold for 56 days from 05/15. Then on Friday, three days ago, I was told it was no longer in Long Beach and now at the Denver railhead awaiting transport to the dealership. I believe they are adding days to the overall hold to allow time for delivery to dealerships. Sounds like the qc holds are almost all caught up and resolved.

As mine is still on the ship from Japan currently in the Caribbean Sea, I'm curious what happens when it gets to port. I was given a 6/25 - 7/10 dealer arrival date. Has the air damn been corrected on the assembly line or are they still building them defective to be fixed ( delayed ) when it reaches the port?

Since Toyota is doing Kaizen (Constant improvement) I'm pretty sure they 1) fixed it on the assembly line, 2) Fixed it prior to get to the boat... I'm 90% sure you should be fine, the hold has been lifted.

Mine was built after others were being put on a QC hold at port and was delivered to the port on 6/11 and has a delivery date of 6/12-6/16 so we’ll see if it gets delivered tomorrow. I had my dealer check this evening and there was no hold on it.

I have a similar est del window of 6/23-7/10 - no air dam here (PRO). Was told by dealer no holds as of yet. I’m east coast.
