So I had a fun discovery, the VIN number in the emails I have with my dealer are either incorrect or the vehicle I have a deposit on doesn't exist.

When I go on their site and find the one with the price point and features I selected, it has a different VIN. The VIN from the site is in the sheet. The other VIN (from the emails) is not and does not show up on their site at all so I'm thinking they sent me a sheet with the wrong one. Good thing this isn't frustrating at all as it is.
Your dealer might have given you a temp VIN if the last few characters have letters in it. The one you found online with the same options is likely the final VIN if its all numbers at the end.

The same thing happened to me. My dealer provided what I thought was my VIN, but every time I looked it up, it wasn't real. So I asked them about it, and they said Toyota assigns a temporary VIN to the vehicle until production is complete (that's what they told me), and then it gets assigned a true VIN, so I have my true VIN now.

Mine was just pushed back again... 😧 It was supposed to be 5/21, got pushed back to 6/16, now it's 7/15... Cry! :(
Quite the surprise. Good for you my man. I was in a very similar time frame hold. Before QC Hold, ETA was by 5/21. Now, by 7/10. Won’t be mad if I get mine before July comes

Yeah, I think the floodgates opened, they received the parts they needed, now it's more a logistic problem, they have to get all these 4Runners to destination as fast as possible, plus the new ones coming in... I'm glad mine was at the front of the line... (knocking on wood)

I’m buying out of state (Cleveland,Ohio) and it’s been sitting in a lot, less than 60 miles away from dealership, for over a month lol

Got the call that mine is now sitting at the Denver railhead and has been since last Friday. Anyone know how long it takes to go through inspection and get to the dealerships?
