What is "Quality Hold" Status

Just got an update from the dealer, as someone said earlier, QC hold extended to 56 days.

Anyone’s car stuck in NY? I mostly see posts for west coast or south/southeast. Mine arrived on 6/7 and I’m hoping that things are getting pushed through now. Original ETA was 6/11 but now I just have to”expecting it by the middle of next month” (dealer is in VA)

Mine was moved to 56 day hold last Wednesday then last Friday it magically appeared in Denver at the railyard so I think it’s just a time estimate for them to get them delivered on their schedule

Mine was supposed to be here 6/11-6/14. Got to port on 5/15 and last week mine was changed from a 30 day to 42 days. My dealer is also in Va and it’s currently in Newark

That’s about 2 hours from me so not too far. Hopefully we get an update sooner rather than later but I’m not holding my breath. Waiting on a TRD sport premium but the air dam issues + JBL shortage will probably mean it takes a little longer

Got the notification mine finally made it to the rail yard in Denver. But I was told it’s on another inspection hold at the yard. Anyone know how long that part takes?

and i know this is not the same as the tsb on the airdam, but in regards to the air compressor


while the big 3 leave a feature out and tell you they will install it later when the part comes in while toyota holds the vehicle to ensure the parts are installed that are suppose to come with the vehicle originally.

i heard the horror stories of people waiting 6-9 months for a part to come in that should have been with the vehicle in the first place.

it got so bad that the big 3 started removing standard features and making them options to get around the issue.
