You are buying a brand new expensive car
That was supposed to had been released in September of 2024 but things dragged on until the first quarter of 2025 and some dealers were requiring a $500 deposit but if you had a relationship with the dealer they waved the deposit. Picking a color of a car is very personal and I would not want a different color. So I understand how you feel. I wanted the Limited iForce Max Underground Gray exterior with the tan Portobello leather interior. My dealer got my allocation with my colors I wanted but like many it has been sitting for a few months now. I have kept my 1997 4Runner Limited since I bought it new in 1997. Due to my age this will probably be my last car I will order for my daily driver car. Just wish Toyota would be honest and tell us all of why the QC hold. If this is because of the air dam or the speaker I could take deliver without the air dam and the speaker and get it fix later on. I just want my car.
toyota wont sell a vehicle missing options. they are not going to go thru the fiasco that the big 3 did with that whole same issue.

That’s part of the delay as well. There is a supply issue for various port installed options at the moment.

The regular off roads that don't have the speaker or air compressor are in the same boat. So if it's not the air dam what is it? If I had to guess it took a few weeks to get the bolts and then it takes time to go through thousands of vehicles already assembled replacing bolts.

The good news is they can't stay there forever. Right?

Just a few things. FINALLY RECEIVED MY LIMITED on Tuesday 06/17. Again not to give any false hope, but I followed the spreadsheet religiously and I will tell you that its is way behind with updates. I actually received more up to date info on the Toyota.com website. I went in and did an exact build of my vehicle and it showed my dealer as well the most current eta of arrival. I also went through what everyone else is going through. I.E. suppose to get delivered 05/04 then moved to 05/26 then 06/19 then 06/20 and finally 07/04, but low and behold took delivery 06/17, so all in all these dates don't mean squat. My fingers are crossed for everyone waiting. This vehicle exceeds all expectations, worth the wait.

Oh BTW the so called speaker issue is BS. my dealer has over a hundred of them in stock, but no wheel locks imagine that...
Yeah the supply chain varies from dealership to dealership. There is no consistency or logic to it lol

Curious on something. Is Factory to Port referring to the Port in Japan? Or the US? It makes more sense for that to refer to the US Port. Then Port to Dealer is from US Port to Dealership right?

Mine is still in Factory to Port status.

Perhaps we should rename this thread to "A watched 4runner never gets delivered" because I'm checking almost daily with no status change. :ROFLMAO::rolleyes:

A-Allocation or “allocated” as in a vehicle was designed and being built at the factory in Japan
F-Freight as in in the process of being transported from the factory in Japan to the dealership. The sections in it include “factory to port” Japan factory, placed on vessel, vessel arrival at us port. And “port to dealership” us port to transportation option (trucked or rail/freight) to dealership.
Mine for example currently says port to dealership on the spreadsheet and on the status page says arrival at port 04/28 and placed on qc hold on 05/15. It’s currently sitting at the Long Beach port.

I'll have to go back and look at the spreadsheet again to look for the A or F fields. I must have missed that.

The spreadsheet will tell you, build phase, factory to port, port to dealer, or dealership. The A, F, and G (ground, usually means arrived at dealership) is on the internal status page that Toyota uses.

I dont know that I have access to the status page. The Dealer hasn't been providing that. Good to know though!

Oh yeah, you should be able to ask them for a screenshot of the status page. They all have access to it and should be able to provide it to you. Mine for example currently shows “vessel arrival”-04/28 and “port to dealership”-quality hold as of 05/15.

Well, after being told last week I would get my car in 7-8 days, I was told that it was pushed back to July 5-15. I was told that my car is in Texas (where I live) in mid May, but the spreadsheet still says factory to port. I don't know what to think.

Mine is in a similar boat. The spreadsheet shows mine as port to dealership and the timeline shows it should be on the rail to Denver. But it also shows it’s still on the qc hold for 56 days from 05/15. From other people’s experiences and their posts it would seem the timelines aren’t accurate at all and their cars have been randomly arriving at the dealerships.
