What is "Quality Hold" Status

Any news with their holds? Mine was hit with the 56 day hold (ETA 7/10), third date adjustment. I’ve got absolutely zero confidence in this, so as a safety net, I put down a deposit for another 4Runner, also out of state-ETA (7/21-8/3)

Yeah, I just met with my salesman as my other car was being serviced. He showed that the next allocation of 4Runners aren’t sent to arrive until early to mid August. He suspects based on the tundra holds and Tacoma holds in years past, that the current 4Runners on hold will be pushed out of the ports by mid July to make room for the incoming ones. Nothing verified but seems logical enough.

mine has gone from 30,42 and now 52 day hold from 5.15.25. No money down to hold it Heritage Blue. I also have them hold a Supersonic Red without money as well as a backup

Original eta 7/22 - 8/10
Updated eta 7/22 - 8/7

So my window is not earlier, but it has shortened by 3 days.

Just got this text from my dealer. “Our district manager said July 11th they will be released. Your 4Runner is in Lordstown Ohio, so ETA should be the 12th or 13th of July!” Cautiously optimistic….

Seems like there is a wave of "OG quality hold" 4Runners that landed in the states around mid May. Then another wave put on QC hold in June. My hope is those from May are starting to be released, my dealer told me end of June/Early July they expect them to start moving. They are just baking in the sun currently, I guess.

Yesterday my ORP was showing up on toyota.com but today it isn't. Anyone have any idea if it means ita getting close to the dealership? Or why it would be there then not?

my TRD pro did the same at some point yesterday afternoon. It disappeared from the site. It had just changed to est delivery 6/28-7/6 that morning. It arrived to the Newark (??) port 6/22.

from what I’m reading it just happens sometimes. Could be a glitch and show up on the website in a few days, dealer could have marked as sold or could just show up at the dealer.

Built around 4/15, On the QC Hold on 5/15 at the rail yard in Princeton, IN. Released from QC Hold around 6/7.

Got the call yesterday that it's finally here. Headed to pick up this afternoon.

Built on 4/18, was ready to leave the port in Portland on 5/08 before getting caught in the hold. Hopefully everyone else's arrives soon!

Just got the call that mine should be about done with inspection and ready to ship soon. Built on 04/18 and was supposed to be delivered on 05/21, placed on the same hold as everyone else. Here’s hoping it’s not much longer.

Mine arrived to Portland port in late April. It was on rail before May 5 because my screenshot from dealer showed it was on rail to dealer in Nebraska on 5/5. Expected to arrive 5/17 when it went on hold. I found out about 2 weeks ago it has been in Indiana at the rail yard waiting for QC hold to lift. Only about 130 miles from dealership so hopefully once QC lifts it will be on a truck and I can take delivery.
