What made you decide to trade in the GX550?

A few different reasons:
Got the wrong trim for off-roading - poor ground clearance, really poor trunk space behind third row, small gas tank/poor mileage so was getting 180-200 miles on a tank, flimsy cover for tow hitch, coupled with little issues like massaging seats not working, hood flutter over 70 and lack of storage areas up front.
I had the opportunity to sell for more than I paid so I parted with it. Other than that it was great.

Former Jeep owner. Had Jeeps for 32 years; made the switch. I looked at every make, and none compared and/or hade the value, for what I was looking to do with the 4Runner. I need it to tow 3.5k, carry up to 7 passengers, camp/overland, and light offroad.

2016 Tacoma TRD-Off Road (mostly stock except for a light-bar and eventual wildpeaks) straight to the 4Runner. Absolutely loved the truck but the backseat starts to get small when you start planning for a family.

Previous car: 2003 Sequoia, 297,000 miles. (Before that: 1990 4Runner with ~190k) So, yea, 2 cars in 35 years. I've decided I like Toyota SUVs

I have a 2000 Trans Am WS6 and a 1999 4Runner in the copper color from that year. I used to have a white 2015 trail edition that I loved, but I sold it to carmax for an $8K profit back in the coronial times. Missed it dearly. I had 2 kids in the last two years and needed a suitable family car so I bought a Tesla Model 3 since everything else was too expensive. The Model 3 is the best car I'll ever own, hands down, but it's not big enough for 2 kids, so onward to a new 4 Runner.

My wife just paid off her 2019 Forester and she'll be trading it for a Sienna at the end of the year.

I came out of a 2020 Camry XSE in SuperSonic Red. I liked the car and did alot of aftermarket stuff to it. But I decided I was ready to get out of a car.
Prior I had a 2016 Turbocharged Honda Civic EX-L. And before that I had a 2015 Honda Civic EX-L.
I’m basically a Honda/Toyota Fan! 🫶

4Runner ORP replaces a 2000 Toyota Sienna with 372000+ miles on it...still runs great but will not pass smog (I still have it but it will be turned in within the next month or so). Before that I had a '97 Chevy Tahoe and '98 Ford Explorer (both great, used them on and off road) and first was a 1984 Honda Civic hatchback that I retired after nearly 30 years with 387000+ miles on it (yeah, I usually keep my cars for life).

Downside is now I have a vehicle I feel the need to polish...haven't had to do that in many years ;-).
