Would you use a Scout Visualizer if details are not finalized yet?

I enjoy killing time by playing with configurators and visualizers for F250s, Rivians. and Lucid Gravitys.

I recently created a poll in the official Scout Forum asking if people would want to use a configurator if options and colors were not confirmed/finalized yet, and got a lot of positive responses. Jamie from Scout Motors also weighed in with this response.

If it is something you would be interested in please upvote and respond to the post I made in the official Suggestion Box if its something you want to see released before they star taking pre-orders.

We get some entertainment and a better idea of what our Scouts will look like, and Scout can use this data to gauge interest in certain colors, features, and options. A win/win scenario, but the more people that express interest in it, the sooner we will see it.

Personally I wouldn't use it unless they said they were testing consumer interest in design choices or options, and there was some way to vote that you preferred a particular configuration.

I get the interest in having this. It's like dreaming about a really cool concept car you saw at a car show. I'm just past the point in my life where I have much interest in cars - other than am I ready to buy a car now, and can I buy this car very soon.

Following Scout has been my first exception in almost 30 years.

Personally I wouldn't use it unless they said they were testing consumer interest in design choices or options, and there was some way to vote that you preferred a particular configuration.

I think we have two different interpretations of "Very soon" since we are still 2 years away from them hitting the road. lol


They would definitely be using the data to gauge interest in colors, packages, trims, and features. But I also understand that not everyone finds playing with web tools to be a fun time waster.

I agree with you - so I guess I would use it hoping the choices were as close to real as possible...

Yeah like I said Scout has been the exception. I've been hoping for 30 years someone would reincarnate it. So following and interacting about it a little before it's real has been entertaining.

But rather than a configurator I'd like if Scout did vlogs every month or quarter about what's been going on. I'm sure there are multiple reasons they don't really want to do that yet.
