the german computer magazine c't has published an ev auto test in its latest issue ( https://www.heise.de/ct )
here are some interesting findings:
Tires:
Since everyday electric cars are almost always on efficiency tires, there is little to be gained in tire choice. You can reduce rolling...
What issues are you talking about?
If you look at every test of the Macan EV. When you've test driven the car (and Porsche gives anyone interested the opportunity of a 24-hour test drive) and then when you finally have the car:
there is zero dangerous phantom breaking. if there is than the car...
possibly a misunderstanding. i understand your chart to be not a comparison of estimated and actual consumption, but that the consumption actually calculated by the car afterwards is compared with the consumption calculated by you.
That's why I wondered how the car can calculate the actual...
ok, it all sounds logical and it's probably my fault that i didn't understand it properly. i just think that the computer has obviously calculated correctly several times, it's also given that a computer always calculates with the same formula. it can't be "optimistic" once, "pessimistic" once...
you are talking about the user interface. to quote myself: the user interface is really a matter of personal taste. but nobody is forced to like porsches approach. just buy an other car.
your list is-sorry to say it- a joke: in a tesla “you know exactly where to find everything “ are you...
very nice & neat. but is it not obvious that the “indicated” consumption is near always the same (or within statistical error) as the “actual” when the distance is bigger than 50 miles?
i do not see any proof that your calculations are more accurate than the ones the car computer is doing...
could you please explain why you think that the statistical data that macan is providing is false? eg “the consumption last month has been x the distance driven has been y the result is x kWh/km”. and as your method is more scientific than Porsche's please provide the results for us to compare...
what does it mean when people talk about “porsche software “?
in my opinion there is the os and there is a user interface and there are different programs for the user.
the os of the macan which controls all the functionality of the car itself like the engines, the brakes, the steering and so...
@alxman. i respect your priorities. but not your conclusions.
first: the gimmicks and abilities on your list you can get better and cheaper from most chinese cars. i am “afraid” that tesla will be left behind. (but there are the tariffs to help)
second: there is the real (as in how its build)...
