my thoughts are a product of previous purchases where I bought new cars at a great discount as the model was about to be upgraded. False saving though as when I came to part ex the dealer inevitably said ….. if only it was the updated version it would be worth more !

I think I’d pay the £ 2.50 and stay warm at midnight ! I can only think Porsche wants to put 25% minimum charge in just in case the car is going to stay connected, but not charged for a long time.

What I don’t get, is why owners think that because an upgraded and more expensive model has a particular functionality that this should be available to all owners. When I ordered, I didn’t see anything about a future digital key being available at no cost.

After the update it must reset the ‘user’ data as if it’s a brand new car with no driving history. I would bet that the range will diminish very soon / after a few typical drives. I’m sure Porsche / dealer would have said if the update truely increased the range by more than 10%.

I’m sure the locals would have preferred the US base to remain - it houses asylum seekers now. They spend less locally than the US contingent when they were there !

Not sure in the US, but certainly the distraction monitor in the Lexus wasn’t linked to autonomous driving. As I said, the 2019 BMW one was linked to that but I think in Europe it’s on with or without the autonomous and that was why it was such a pain. Hopefully, Porsche will allow more latitude...
