Porsche 718 / 983 Boxster / Cayman EV Sports Car Announced For 2025 Launch

The only unkown for me is this will be based on the PPE platform. The J1 was developed for a specific purpose in mind. PPE is as broad a platform as possible 718/911 share the platform with the Porsche DNA

    Porsche IPO

If this is the case, do you think it's better if Porsche goes private instead?

    Porsche IPO

I agree with this. The good part of being under VW was the sharing of R&D which would allow Porsche to focus on being exclusive and higher margin, cash cows. I'm certain exclusive manufaktur will be even more prominent for Porsche now, but new models and higher volume will be the target...

    Porsche IPO

It breaks out Porsche from the VW group which means Porsche will need to show growth in more ways.

    Porsche IPO

Is the Porsche IPO a good idea for the brand in the long term? IMO the Ferrari IPO diluted the brand. 12 years of 458 variants, every other week with special editions, now an SUV

    Rivian R1T early review

RJ is the new and improved Musk for the new cult. Lots of overlap I saw one yesterday. For size reference, my I-Pace and an E-Tron next it. Its pretty big

    Porsche starts offering 3D-printed seats

Not available for the Taycan, but it's nice to see Porsche offering even more options. 8% weight savings, custom fitted to your body, chose how firm you want it. Porsche starts offering 3D-printed seats

Porsche Announces Mission R EV Sports Car Concept

What are the chances Porsche makes a 718 replacement a better performer than a Taycan or 911?

    912 EV conversion

I love the concept, but I would be concerned with reliability. Not a fan of additional weight due to batteries. I have no desire to drive an ICE car, unless it's a special sport car. They don't cut anything, they keep most of it stock, but replace the VW parts. What i Imagine is a carbon...

[Livestream] Porsche live at the IAA

Incredible specs and improvement over the current Taycan system. 800KW (1073bhp) from dual e-motors in qualifying mode - 4WD - 900 volt electric system - 340kW charging -0-100km/h in 2.5sec - 300km/h top speed I love the Taycan headlights, but on this front fascia it looks like a the new Ford...

8 Hours at PEC Atlanta Experience - A Review

Very nice write up. Did you get the additional insurance on the driving experience? It seems the difference in getting the PEC delivery option gives you a $50 discount and lunch at the restaurant 356 (Atlanta), 917 (LA) I agree it would be better to get the car PPFed before delivery at the PEC

Lucid Air - Motor Trend Review

Rawlinson is missing one key competent that Musk has. His ability to raise money and lots of it. Which is why its almost impossible Lucid will make it Also the minute Tesla cant rasie money, they are gone too. $12b raised last year alone, $10b with at the money offerings

Lucid Air - Motor Trend Review

Well said. Emotionless is how I would describe it It seems Lucids focus is to make a better Tesla. It should be to make a fantastic car that happens to be an EV

Lucid Air - Motor Trend Review

Rawlinson is brilliant and it will be a game changer for EVs Have you seen it in person? IMO Aesthetically its not a sexy, stand out car, especially the front fascia. Interior (though per-production) didn't have that luxury feel, more minimal with much better materials than a Tesla
