Looks great! We just bought a Macan (RWD) in papaya Monday. Our favorite color by far!
One odd thing to get used to in this car though... the seats are so far from the side of the car that it's kinda hard getting in and out. This car is smaller on the inside relative to the outside vs many...
When we P&C our Mach-E, I still stand there to see the kW I'm getting on the EA screen (since the car doesn't show it), and that takes like 2 minutes for that screen to roll around. Some EA chargers have issues and only deliver like 31kW, in which case I'd move to another one.
But in the...
I used to think that with our Mach-E (which we road tripped a lot, over 50k miles just for road trips). I used to just use the EA app. But then when P&C started working, I realized how nice it was and how many potential problems it bypasses. Like for instance, when you get to a station where...
I had assumed the same about anything dated back in March or April (like your link), that that was referencing the situation before the 90-day tariff delay. But I guess the tariff delay didn't apply to autos? So confusing. Even reading news articles about the delay, they're poorly written to...
Curious what you mean by "how good coasting was"? Do you mean for efficiency (range)? Or handling corners? Or just how the drive feel is on the highway?
Wasn't that delayed 3 months? Granted, it is all fluid and confusing to keep up with. But Google says we're currently reverted back to the prior 2.5% US tariff (even though the EU tariffs US-made cars at 10%), thru July 8.
We bought ours Monday from dealership stock, and were still able to negotiate a reasonable deal ($6000 off MSRP). Edmunds said fair value was just over $7000 below for the exact vehicle we chose. The dealer used "pending tariffs" hurting supply as leverage (as you would expect them to), but we...
Thanks. Yes, certificate says it's there, and P&C is on. Shows on in the car too. I even tried turning it off then back on a few minutes later. Still get a payment failure on the EA charger screen.
I wondered if maybe it's just too soon for the right database to update? We just bought the...
It needs to be a Level 2 (AC) J-1772-only adapter, like a TeslaTap. A DCFC adapter for use at Superchargers typically doesn't have the AC pins thus don't work as a J-1772 L2 adapter.
We just bought our new Macan Monday out of state (AZ), and drove it 1000 miles home to CO. P&C failed every attempt (payment failure) at EA. But it worked fine starting it from the app. I guess we'll just have to call Porsche support, unless anyone has any ideas?
Speaking of which, the regen is much better than I expected it would be. Comments I read made it sound very weak but I'd call it more medium. It definitely slows the car somewhat significantly when letting off the pedal. I'm happy with that.
It's not strong regen like experienced with full...
It is! We bought one Monday, somewhat unexpectedly. We found one spec'd fairly close to what we wanted while on a road trip out of state. Saw it in inventory and made a detour to check it out. Next think we know we're trading in the Bronco Sport we were driving and buying the Macan. Driving it...
We have a Premium (First Edition). One the first batch (took delivery Feb 2021).
The Macan is stiffer in Normal mode too?? Ugh. The reviews usually say it's nice and smooth in normal. Damn. It's one the first things I'll check on a test drive.
I think every EV includes creep when not in 1PD mode. They pretty much have to. In our Mach-E it creeps at 3-4 MPH if you just put it in drive and let it go. It's almost a little too strong, actually, because when you start to lift up on the brake pedal, it's GOES. Can be tricky to inch the...
We're planning on buying a Macan 4 soon. We're coming from a Mustang Mach-E, which we still love overall but my #1 complaint is the stiff suspension on rougher city roads. So many EVs suffer from stiff suspensions where you feel every crack, bump, and dip. Looking forward to moving up to a...
