  1. Sudden Range Drop at 80% Charge in Macan 4S

Nothing of the above, though as the car is in our private garage, it is not locked. But SoC loss was observed when it was locked in underground public garage, being underground, it could not have extreme temperature (though it was really hot outside).
  2. Sudden Range Drop at 80% Charge in Macan 4S

OK, I see, thanks! Found a way to delete scheduled departure time - just swipe it right to left from the screen. Still car shows that it is charging (green lights everywhere) while display says charging session is complete. I'm paying so much attention to the charging because I believe those two...
  3. Sudden Range Drop at 80% Charge in Macan 4S

I have shared my issue with local EV forum (not specific to Macan), and someone there suggested that EVSE issue (last part of my post 2 posts above in this thread) hints that car does not let EVSE go into sleep, draining some energy for its needs. I have a clamp meter, and made an experiment -...
  4. Sudden Range Drop at 80% Charge in Macan 4S

I have a dealer appointment in two weeks, on the phone dealer also did not react as this is something out of ordinary. This is definitely not OK, BMW iX lost 0% during that period. Looks like the problem is rare, I saw people reporting 0% loss. OK, I will keep pushing, maybe mention a possible...
  5. Sudden Range Drop at 80% Charge in Macan 4S

OK, I have been posting in this thread, and unfortunately now is the time to post again. We had to leave Macan EV 4S sitting for 19 days, and it lost 16% - from 61 to 45. Before, I had a problem with the car unable to reach programmed SoC (like you set it to 80%, and in the morning you get 76%)...
  6. Sudden Range Drop at 80% Charge in Macan 4S

Try charging to 90% and leave it overnight at 90%.
  7. Is there really no adaptive regenerative braking?

Yes, people in other groups say Taycan has it. I have it in BMW iX and find it great there, not sure about Taycan as I have never driven one, maybe it is tuned not as good as in BMW. I would like to have it in Macan, but alas...
  8. Is there really no adaptive regenerative braking?

Thank you! Other cars (BMW, Mercedes) can apply regen brakes depnding on the traffic ahead of you. If you are approaching the car in front of you and distance is decreasing rapidly, it will brake for you. Nothing like this on Macan EV? I know it will brake when using cruise control, but BMW can...
  9. Is there really no adaptive regenerative braking?

Hello, I'm almost sure I'm right, but want to double check. Does Macan EV have an adaptive regenerative braking, meaning when you coast (release gas pedal and don't touch brakes), it goes using inertia until it sees the car in front and distance is decreasing, then it starts using regenerative...
  10. Battery loses SoC while parked, strange charging behavior

OK, I have charged it to 90% using street AC charger and left overnight. BTW it reached 90% without stopping earlier. When I started the car next morning (it sat at least 12 hours, and it was quite cold) with the intention to drive at least 500km, it showed 91%. All the problems with sudden...
  11. Battery loses SoC while parked, strange charging behavior

In the neighbor thread the owner who has similar problem (10% SoC loss in 10 days) says that some parts need to be changed, so it looks like simple rebalancing might not work.
  12. Battery loses SoC while parked, strange charging behavior

I reread my message and see how I contradict myself. "Problem is not in DC fast charge, but car got more power from DC stations than from AC". I wanted to say that I don't have problem with DC fast charge power limit, but the car never saw DC charge with power less than 160 kW. Probably the real...
  13. Battery loses SoC while parked, strange charging behavior

Thank you, I will definitely give it a try (especially because this is so simple), maybe will buy OBD2 dongle or use somebody who has one and check the disbalance before the procedure. But I must admit that I have no issues with DC fast charging. The problem caught us when we were on the long...
  14. Battery loses SoC while parked, strange charging behavior

I also think sudden changes in SoC happen because of some recalibration. My problem is with SoC display being so inaccurate, you don't know how much range is left. Especially when it starts losing 1% per 2km vs 5km, and then 40-70% charge takes 20kWh instead of 30. So at the end this is no more...
  15. Battery loses SoC while parked, strange charging behavior

BTW do you use delayed charging, or charging starts immediately?
  16. Battery loses SoC while parked, strange charging behavior

So, ours does both - loses SoC when plugged in, and loses it when not plugged in. How nice... Some people admit the former, and some the latter, I seem to be the only one with both. Owner in neighbor thread who has SoC loss when not plugged in brought the car in for inspection, hope we will see...
  17. Sudden Range Drop at 80% Charge in Macan 4S

Please keep us posted. Thank you!
  18. Battery loses SoC while parked, strange charging behavior

So the problem is not so rare. Does it lose SoC when it sits locked and unplugged for few days? I feel this should be related somehow.
  19. Battery loses SoC while parked, strange charging behavior

Yes, I did, we have two EVs (Macan is actually a daily driver for my wife, but we took it for the long trip to Berlin) and in case they must be charged the same night - two EVSEs. Same picture, same current chart. Both EVSEs are perfectly fine when charging BMW iX. Problem is not with the EVSE...
  20. Battery loses SoC while parked, strange charging behavior

That was the temperature of the wall charger, not the car battery. Graph is from the cloud service of the smart wall box manufacturer. Just got an idea of talking to their support to confirm that car indeed asks for those 2-3A of current, maybe they will setup debugging session when I'm back and...
