IDK if it is necessary to do the procedure twice. It probably depends on the situation. As mentioned I saw a healthy rebalance at a low of 25% SoC and full restoration of charge speed, so Iām a bit skeptical it must be driven down to nothing (and then repeated), but perhaps thatās the most...
I think that bar graph is voltage not capacity. I am not sure what values the ends indicate but traditionally you want your battery gauge to be somewhere in the middle, not super high (like 16 volts) or super low (like 11 volts). It is similar to a temperature gauge where you donāt want it to be...
My uninformed idea of this (for all EVs not just Macan) is that if you have some cells with maybe 50% SoC and some cells with zero, your overall SoC is zero because it needs to be able to pull energy from multiple cells to have enough power to operate. When it sits in this state and thereās...
Spent a few weeks just doing maybe one or two short trips a week. After I experienced slow dc charging, I let it sit for a few hours at ~25% and SoC jumped to 40% (rebalance made more cells available). Then I charged it at home to 85% and a few hours later it went to 75% (more space to charge)...
I would still let it sit at low SoC for a few hours because this fixed slow DC charging for me, after it being a garage queen for a few weeks seemed to cause this. The dealership will probably just start with the recalibration anyway.
My understanding is that Teslas implementation predates UWB in phones and only their latest models have UWB hardware, previously using exclusively Bluetooth Low Energy.
At any rate the only implementation Iāve heard of that advertises to work even when your phone doesnāt have enough battery to...
They donāt call it a guess-o-meter for nothing!
I would hope if there was something actually wrong the car would alert you to book a service, but it isnāt out of the question that there might be a silent issue. Iād just drive it a bit more and keep an eye on it. The estimator can be finicky...
Honestly, Iām ok with that. Iām not the kind of shopper who is choosing a car hoping it will get new, unknown features down the road. Thereās only so much to be done with software anyway, which is why leasing is advantageous for someone who is looking for tech refresh.
itās great to hear...
Nothing new to report. Just to be clear, the drain in this test was artificially added, it wasnāt meant to show if the car has issues with long term storage and 12v, I have no idea if thatās a problem or not. Instead I was attempting to see how it would react if an accessory was abnormally...
You probably just need a rebalance, if youāve not recently run it down below 20% and let it sit. I have a long thread about running it down and the car climbing in % just sitting while it rebalanced. Seemingly charging out of nowhere. If just one cell is empty it canāt use the energy in other...
Youāre saying 1.5kwh per mile? So about 60 miles of range? Thatās crazy!
I have wingbar edge with ski rack, I have been getting 2.6 miles per kWh at 70mph freeway trips with two pair of skis. Mine are also very quiet, I hear a little wind noise at low speed but much better than most Iāve had...
The bottom cushions are the same as far as I can tell. I went with the comfort seats because I couldnāt get comfortable with the headrest on the sport during an extended test drive. My neck just didnāt like it for some reason, so I opted for the adjustable headrest.
Seems low, but remember speed is important. The highway range tests are done at 60mph. I donāt doubt I could get that range at this speed.
I did a trip test in my Turbo and got 31.4kwh per 100 miles at 72mph cruise, 302 miles range.
I repeated this once after winter wheels were installed...
Even if it has changed, the idea that the arenāt capable of maintaining software on two different revisions of hardware is kind of unbelievable, when they (and everyone else) are already capable of maintaining many models, with many hardware configurations and features.
Usually when sales...
I think maybe people are reading that in a way other than you intended.
What I assume you meant is that the older cars wonāt get some of the features that MY ā26 has via software.
Or are you really saying that you donāt think MY24 or 25 Macans will ever get another update, at all, period...
