X5 not so great in snow/ice. At least compared to other vehicles I have had/have. Lots of mass up high and no control over 4 wheel drive parameters other than lots of abs if needed. Macan seems to have a bit more selection for reduced traction. Weight will still be a problem, but I'm interested...
Just giving the reported Kwh per mile on our 214 mile trip. Today was a bit better, bumping up to 3.4 Kwh per mile around town. Average to good for a modern ev. Just getting it broken in so long term trends not evident to me yet.
@stevieg They reset everything and did an update that Porsche said would fix it. It did not do the trick and screwed up a lot of my settings. The final solution after that was to turn compatability mode in 'gear settings' under 'charging' on and then off. It then allowed me to enable plug and...
USA Macan 4. Our plug and charge did not authorize although we had a valid subscription. Turns out it is a know problem with malformed cert installed in car before we recieved it. It needs to be deleted by the dealer (possibly could be done by myself) and good cert re-installed. Will let folks...
@byebye Can you discuss the pre conditioning process a bit more for the Macan? Not sure I have completely understood the best prep approach for longer trips.
I considered body color, but liked how the contrast affected the design flow with the front offroad fascia and black rails. Not a fan of cladding either, but can't afford a hand formed vintage Ferrari body so there's that.
I've noticed that all the pictures I've seen of Macan EVs have what appears to be smooth side cladding. However, ours is textured (see pics). I believe this is related to offroad 21" wheels, black roof rails, and offroad front facia. Anyone else got these textured sides?
Going on long road trip this week. Wifes birthday trip to drum store for some new adds to kit. Also switching summer 21s with winter 20s. Interested to see how milage does. I'll tag this thread if I see any interesting results.
