Thanks, you're right it's minor. Have you seen both on the Macan? I've only seen the tinted version. Seems like our local dealer spec'd tinted for all their Turbos (they received some and I got a sneak peak).
Anyone ordering the Tinted Matrix LED option (Code 8IV)? It's difficult to know from the photos/videos if the demo cars are equipped with this option. Any close-up photos of "standard" or tinted versions would be greatly appreciated. Not a great photo but the headlight below has the Tinted...
Fair point on introducing another colour with the Vesuvius Grey. I guess if you had spec'd the Offroad Design Package (which includes Vesuvius Grey on the side front fascia, side skirts, rear diffuser and roof rails), then the Vesuvius wheels would be a nice match.
I've also spec'd Frozen Blue, flip-flopping with Ice Grey but finally settling on Frozen Blue after seeing both together in a dealer lot (on the Taycan of course). A little different than your spec, I've selected body coloured side blades and lower mirror housings.
Please take the following as...
Agreed, I haven't seen or read of it anywhere other than in that forum post. I just assumed that it would be the same as the Taycan as a customizable feature with Sport Chrono.
No Individual Mode? That's concerning. I've read so many Taycan threads where Individual Mode seems to the be default for many owners, primarily to maintain a custom setting after powering down.
Not to question what you were told but this seems to conflict with what a member on another forum...
Great build! Love the colour combination, absolutely classic.
My $0.02 (purely subjective and I know you didn't ask so please ignore if not interested in my opinion): to my eyes, body coloured door handles and side mirrors work best when spec'ing body coloured side blades. I find that gloss...
My original Turbo spec is fairly heavily loaded with options so when I build a 4S to pick up all of the standard equipment of the Turbo plus match the options, the difference is just over $4k Canadian dollars. Maybe I've made a mistake. Here are the codes if anyone is interested:
Turbo -...
Don't get wrong, I'm sold on the Macan and only passed up on an allocation in April in order to wait for a demo vehicle before locking an order. I'm just not confident with the 22 inch wheel/tire profile (even though the car looks best with 22s).
Currently I have the 21 Turbo wheels in my...
Thanks. Wasn't sure if that photo was just one of the vehicles on display.
Glad to hear that you were left with a good impression even with 22 inch wheels. I'm still nervous about potential harshness of low profile tires with our cracked and pot-holed roads up here in Toronto.
I believe that the air suspension allows this extra "offroad" clearance for any Macan, even if the Offroad Design Package is not selected. My understanding is that the Offroad Design Package sets the "normal" vehicle height up by 10mm, but the full range of heights/clearances can be set by the...
Hi Diego, picking up on your roof rail comment, was there something in particular about them that you didn't like? I generally select roof rails so I can have the flexibility to use crossbars for bikes, but if the rails really detract from the overall look of the car, I may go for a tow-hitch...
Ah, thanks for confirming. So the rails are a satin black (not glossy)? I thought I saw a more recent photo that showed gloss black roof rails. I prefer the satin black.
