I thought all cars showed a speed a bit higher than indicated. I have had Ford, GM, Audi, VW, Tesla, Polestar and all have been under and frankly 2 mph at 70 is less than most. I thought it was deliberate so they couldn’t be sued if you got a speeding ticket while speedo showed you were on...
Sounds good. I only wish we could specify tyres in UK. I need all season but we can only get summer here despite all seasons being far more suitable. Question. Is do I ditch them and buy what I want or put up with them until they need changing. That’s what I did on current Polestar and they...
Very much my thinking and similar spec although options are different in UK. I have also gone for Aventirine Green but with green black leather. I didn’t spec Inno drive but did add ACC. I dont like self driving and have it turned off in existing car but use ACC all the time. I added 360. Camera...
0.075 is about right for off peak home charging here in UK. Most energy firms have a cheap EV rate often from about midnight to 4/5 am. With higher day rates of around 0.40/0.45. Your rate is closer to our day rate if we don’t have an overnight EV tariff. Are there no companies offering cheap EV...
Works fine now thanks. Reading the shortlist the Macan looks a shoe in to win. Mind you I’ve never heard of Acura and we don’t get that or Rivian in UK.
Mine is not arriving until March so just doing some research without asking for quotes yet as a bit early. Current car a Polestar LRDM and insurance is around ÂŁ1kz thanks for referral code
it’s one of the reasons I like Porche as you have the option. Clearly some people want a rear wiper despite lots of us saying it’s not needed when we have same weather. It’s good they have the choice when so many other makes lump extras in packs so you end paying for what you would rather not...
For me the one essential you haven’t included are ACC. Not only do I find it essential to avoid speeding tickets but it is getting hard to sell cars without it at least in UK.
Also I couldn’t be without comfort access now as I am used to it and I often arrive at car in full fishing gear with...
I have had a Polestar for 3 years in UK and never missed it. Snow is no problem. Two minutes of heated rear screen and it’s gone or even better preheating before you go. Once driving you wouldn’t know it’s raining or snowing at back.
Plus my SA said it has significant effect on range (I’ve no...
Sounds like you did it fine. Only query did the charger show up as open to all? If it showed in the app it would be but if you just drove to one possibly not. Not all Tesla chargers are open but I thought most on continent were and it was only IK where all the popular ones are Tesla only
I think this is key. Short journeys really hit range even more than the cold. The vast majority of my mileage is on 150 mile journeys or more largely on motorways. In cold weather the predicted range can be quite low for first 10/20 miles and then climbs back to much nearer the summer range...

I am surprised you see such an effect from air conditioning. Do both your cars have a heat pump.l? On my Polestar with heat pump I do see a loss in range in cold weather (cold in UK is usually only 0 C or just below) but nothing anywhere near 50% and air conditioning does affect it but not...
I would be surprised. Macao EV is a dedicated EV platform not designed for an ICE engine. My dealer says demand has gone crazy and no one is interested in the old version now.
W1NGE I would be interested in which dealer. Mine has them going out as soon as they arrive and still quoting six months plus to order. They are one of biggest dealers too. I might give yours a call
