Sorry to see that, especially on a new car. That is almost certainly an entire light assembly, and will not be cheap. At least it;s better than paint damage, I suppose, but it still hurts.
This is all pretty obvious. Unpredictable policy and limited information makes decisions in the current environment difficult. Who knows what will happen with tariffs, trade wars, the economy, NACS, etc. If you need a vehicle now, it probably makes sense to find a landed pre-tariff vehicle...
@Slate4S, my recently delivered frozen blue Macan Turbo has the black letters, and I sort of wish I had ordered frozen blue. I donāt know how difficult the removal is, but might consider swapping.
The 4 and the Turbo launched first, followed somewhat later by the 4S. All the journalists, influencers, etc. tested the 4 and Turbo during Porsche launch events, loans, and promotions. The 4S was a much softer launch, and a sweet spot in the lineup.
Is the fixed (no slide) visor world-wide, or only in North American spec? Can one of our European friends confirm their visor does not slide?
I am trying to source a replacement from Porsche or Audi. It looks like the Q5 visor might be pretty close. 911 and RSQ8 are not similar.
I was not sure about the logo when ordering, but it was low cost, low commitment, since they are easy to swap out. I ordered from the Ali Express LINK listed in this thread.
I ordered the crest + text versions, but my vehicle is still sitting the dealer delivery room at the moment awaiting PPF and ceramic coating. I should have it Wednesday.
Another awesome thread by @daveo4EV. I may have missed it, but we all talk about the impact of various options on range, and it seems tire pressure would be a significant variable that is not frequently mentioned. The standard thinking for ICE vehicles is that tire inflation may impact mileage...
Every salesperson seems to be educated to use the badge to close the frunk, but that advice is a bit controversial. Some of the 911's with aluminum hoods, eventually, sustained damage where the badge was indented a couple of millimeters.
I use two hand across the front edge of the frunk to...
No need to worry, itās just the normal Porsche lottery at port. Sometimes a vehicle will clear quickly, other times it feels like forever. Our Macanās might be awaiting some minor part (like key FOBās and computer chips post-COVID), or the port is simply backed up. When it takes really long...
Mine has been stuck in port (Benicia) for a bit. Originally planned at the dealer on Jan 31, but most recent ETA is now Feb 21. Apparently related to updates/recalls. I have never had a Porsche clear port quickly, so I am not too surprised or worried unless some sudden tariff is applied.
My conversation will be simple. When I ordered, I agreed to pay a certain price, and have not asked for discounts, nor will I tolerate any increases. Anything different from what we agreed to will be a breach of our agreement so a prompt refund of any deposits will be due.
Porsche typically changes to the next model year right after the summer holiday shutdown for most of the lineup. I think the Macan EV launched later than expected, and delayed the changeover from ā24 to ā25.
It's not fraud, just allowable tolerances in measurements. I believe the allowable variation is up to 10% in Germany, and regulations forbid underreporting speed, so the decision is dictated by these constraints.
