  1. For Sale - 4 20" Take-off (Unused) Michelin Pilot Alpin 5 Snow tires

I have these as my winterset, I can report that they have a way better ride than my Bridgestone Enliten summertime tires which will not find their way back on my car.
  2. Squeaky steering wheel

I never asked the dealer about it because I totally forgot about it. And the reason I totally forgot about it must be because it no longer squeakes. Funny how that works, when it's there it's annoying but when it goes away I don't even notice it went away.
  3. Random daily Macan EV photos - post yours! 🤳

Wow, those Burmeisters look good surrounded by those colors!
  4. How do you manually get to the Goodbye screen to get to the power charge port button?

Yes, but probably from the inside. My situation is that I'm walking up to the car, put my dog in the back and then get access to the goodbye screen and set the two preferences. Now I have to buckle up, put the car in drive, then in park and unbuckle. That makes the screen appear.
  5. How do you manually get to the Goodbye screen to get to the power charge port button?

Let's hijack this post: I want to get to the goodbye screen sometimes to be able to turn off the alarm and keep the vehicles systems running. This is my way of getting to some kind of dog mode that turns off the alarm and keep the airconditioning running. All I ever came up with is put the...
  6. [Poll] - Porsche charging specification lie? Macan is not allowing 11 kW max charge rate - capped at 40 amps? 9.6 kW max rate.

    I don't think it works for everyone in Europe but for most. And that's because most of us have or can request three phase power. Here's a little table: 16 A → 0.69282 × 16 = 11.09 kW 20 A → 0.69282 × 20 = 13.86 kW 25 A → 0.69282 × 25 = 17.32 kW 32 A → 0.69282 × 32 = 22.17 kW 40 A → 0.69282 ×...
  7. AV Chargers in France not working

I did not do anything special, so no compatibility mode. I only used compatibility mode once when I had trouble charging at a DC charger, I think that was in Belgium. I think compatibility mode turns off after each drive just like the speed warning and the lane keep assist (thanks EU for adding...
  8. AV Chargers in France not working

I have used it many times in french cities and it always works. I think you mean that metal flap on the charger that opens up when you use your charging card or rfid. I really like this type of charging because you get a free parking space somewhere near the center, there's always room and...
  9. Tire pressure drop

Wow, how did you manage to get screwed sideways? Is someone shooting screws at Macans in London?
  10. Tire pressure drop

And here's the Macan getting unscrewed...
  11. Tire pressure drop

This is how I got screwed... My tireshop (absolute hero's) advised me to leave it in there, top off the tire and to come over to have it plugged.
  12. Charge Estimate gone wild

MEGA - make electrons great again!
  13. High Drama at Public Chargers [Aus]

The sarcasm is strong with this one...
  14. Porsche Wallbox - experiences / reviews?

thanks for this information. I'm still in the market for a new charging station and hoping that my tesla wall connector bites the dust soon otherwise I cannot justify this expense. It says in the documentation that it supports modbus but that's all it says. There's no documentation whatsoever...
  15. Terrific Charging Session: 283 kW charging yesterday

AI is just hashing up what it finds on the internet. In this case I would trust the engineers at Porsche. And here's my favorite quote regarding AI from Jerry: "We’re smart enough to invent AI, dumb enough to need it, and so stupid we can’t figure out if we did the right thing."
  16. Macan EV Charger Cover Flap Not Flush

Probably temperature related. I think the flapdoor is plastic, panel surrounding it not.
  17. My Bulletproof Macan Turbo EV

Yes, just asking because I've had several occasions where my Macan slammed on the brakes in parking lots because people were walking behind my car, nowhere within hitting distance by the way.
  18. My Bulletproof Macan Turbo EV

I have been wondering with all these systems that are able to interfere with you as the driver being in control. Would it still be possible to on purpose hit a car or a pedestrian when you're in a life or death situation? I remember a hostage situation in Amsterdam a year or two ago where a...
