    Wheel Dilemma

If have RS Spyders in Turbonite, and because the Macan EV uses regenerative braking most of the time the wheels don’t collect all of the brake dust that they would with an ICE car. The wheels stay remarkably clean. I still have IronX from my previous car but it really isn’t needed. Don’t be...

[ADVICE REQUEST] 2026 Macan EV Build-Out

In my opinion the insulated glass' primary benefit is the heat rejection if you're in a hot and sunny climate, and you can get similar benefits from an aftermarket tint. It doesn't make much of a difference with road noise while driving since that largely originates from the tires and is...

[ADVICE REQUEST] 2026 Macan EV Build-Out

@surfcitydermatology if your dealer doesn't have a Macan EV with a Burmester that you can listen to I could meet you somewhere so you can play your favorite tracks in my car.

[ADVICE REQUEST] 2026 Macan EV Build-Out

I have the heated windshield as well, and as I stated earlier my AT&T cell phone works just fine with it. Cell phone performance should not keep you from adding it to your build. And the heated windshield has been genuinely useful even in SoCal. Having four people that are wet with rain get in...

    Wheel Dilemma

I have the 22" RS Spyder wheels. When making my wheel choice I valued appearance more than ride comfort, for which a 21" wheel would be better. Porsche offers a 21" RS Spyder for the Cayenne EV -- they should bring it to the Macan EV as well, it would have been my choice. On a side note, I had...

[ADVICE REQUEST] 2026 Macan EV Build-Out

I have the Thermally & Noise Insulated Glass as well as the Burmester sound system. While the glass likely does affect the cellular signal somewhat, I haven't noticed any problems resulting from that. In the areas I frequent, my AT&T cell phone has continued to work just fine. I have been...

How loud is your windshield wiper relay?

    I have a November 24 build, February 25 delivery. I can't hear my relay.

Any experience with "Electrical system error" after AC charging?

Your EVSE shouldn’t be able to blow a fuse if it is configured correctly to live within the limits of the electrical system. Which adapter were you using? Did the fuse blow immediately after starting the charging?

    Rumble on Part Throttle

I wonder if the vibration occurs when the front axle is being passively driven. The Macan has a permanent magnet motor without a clutch, so it never completely disconnects. In order to not create a braking force, the motor receives just enough current to keep up with the motion of the vehicle...

    Big update suspended?

I'm not disputing that the update might create new problems for some given the vast number of different vehicle configurations and country-dependent requirements, but I've had the v28.13 update for about ten days now and haven't noticed any new issues. I experienced one white warning message...

    So called Driver Aid

I suspect that some of that is also country-dependent. How it behaves could be different in the UK from what I have in the US.

Paint Protection when car lives on a dirt road

I have Xpel Fusion PPF on my car but I also have nothing to compare it against. Wouldn't hesitate to get it again though.

Paint Protection when car lives on a dirt road

My car occasionally finds itself on a dirt road, but I had full PPF and ceramic coating applied primarily to limit the damage from road debris, bird poop etc. I do a lot of freeway driving with close following distances, and anything that the vehicles in front of you kick up will cause pitting...

    So called Driver Aid

It could be a small child. That's far more likely than a guy sitting in the cargo area with the tailgate open.

    So called Driver Aid

It seems at least plausible that the car recognized a human face directly in front of the moving vehicle and performed an emergency stop. But that doesn’t explain the second incident that occurred under completely different circumstances. Unfortunately these systems are foisted on us by law...

    Climate controls query

However, the windshield wiper nozzles are heated, as is the fluid reservoir. This is the case regardless of whether you have the heated windshield option.
