Nearside (left) front window opening itself

My car has been back at the dealerships all week and they have just telephoned to say that they have applied a software update from Porsche that - amongst other things - is designed to resolve this issue. To say I am far from convinced is a bit of an understatement but time will tell. The...

    Wiper blade hitting A-Pillar?

Mainly the ongoing passenger window issues but also... - this one - ill fitting charging cover on drivers's side - faulty steering wheel column adjuster ... and there's a couple of weeks before it's booked-in, so will be on the lookout for others niggles.

Macan EV 4S will not start. Battery at 70% full

I dont know about the soft reset with volume button, as haven’t tried that yet. The recovery driver said that I may have to reset some settings following the 12v lead removal and initially it seemed my wing mirrors didnt retract when I locked the doors yesterday. I awoke early this morning...

    Wiper blade hitting A-Pillar?

Has anyone else experienced the wiper blade hitting the a-pillar when operating, and causing a tap-tap-tap noise every time the blades clear the windscreen? Mine has been doing it for a while, but we had a downpour today and the wipers went into overdrive and it sounded like someone was playing...

Macan EV 4S will not start. Battery at 70% full

I take that back - its stopped doing it again! Are there two levels of extension for the rear spoiler? When I extended it manually it said it had reached the intermediate point on the display… CORRECTION: I searched a little further in the forums and found that the sunroof being open changes...

Macan EV 4S will not start. Battery at 70% full

A footnote to this story … I driove the car today and its the first time I have seen the spoiler visible in the rear view mirror. I had assumed (for past 3 months!) that it only raised slightly and hence I couldnt see it. It seems it was never actually working at all, and the ’reboot’ got that...

Macan EV 4S will not start. Battery at 70% full

No - but I didnt know this was a 'thing' either. Which volume knob? The one on the steering wheel or the one in centre console?

Macan EV 4S will not start. Battery at 70% full

Ok... here's the update and its good news. The Porsche Assist engineer (actually an AA recovery person here in the UK) visited my house to look at it. His face dropped when he saw it was an EV and he started to mumble about how difficult it will be to lift the car and get it onto a transporter...

Macan EV 4S will not start. Battery at 70% full

I like the logic, thank you. The Porsche recovery engineer should be here in the next hour so I will leave him to investigate but also float your idea as a suggestion.

Macan EV 4S will not start. Battery at 70% full

Hi. Yep. It doesn’t make any difference. I also tried plugging the car in to see if it somehow ‘resets’ it. No change.

Macan EV 4S will not start. Battery at 70% full

Well, the joy of owning a beta-test car just continues to keep on giving. My nearside window still randomly opens itself at the least convenient times (see separate thread) with no response from the dealer despite asking for it to be escalated. Yes, Porsche Chester, I am now naming you. This...

Nearside (left) front window opening itself

Thanks - but I do that every time it happens. I also suspect this is all that the dealer did when they had the car for an entire day, although they say they did a ‘full reset‘ - wherever that is. Either way, neither worked as the issue continues to reoccur.

Nearside (left) front window opening itself

...and I had just started to calm down after my latest rant at the dealership ! Agreed, totally unacceptable and I am convinced they are embarrassed and simply do not know what to do next with these issues. I'm going to another dealership locally to see what they have to say.

Nearside (left) front window opening itself

Well, it continues to happen several times per week and my local dealer continues to push me out by months rather than days before they can fit me in to look at it again. I am convinced they do not know how to even investigate this issue and are embarrassed to admit it. I have asked for the...

Macan 4 EV - Octopus intelligent sync issue

Yep - not sure where the issue lies either but I have reverted to letting the car schedule the charging at roughly the times when Octopus rates are lowest. I have disabled Octopus and Easee intelligence and just let the car draw the power between those times. I have noticed that, if I say...

Nearside (left) front window opening itself

Well, my car spent the day with the Porsche dealership on Tuesday. They said they reset the system (whatever that means) and cleared all errors. This morning, I returned to the vehicle on a hotel car park and the passenger window was half open again. I called the dealership who said their next...
