Curious if you tried a soft reset by holding the volume knob down until screens go black and reboot. That would be an easier fix to attempt, similar to what Teslas need from time to time.
No - but I didnt know this was a 'thing' either. Which volume knob? The one on the steering wheel or the one in centre console?

Center console is my understanding though still waiting for mine. Perhaps someone else can confirm.

Yes, it's the centre console volume knob.
If you press for a couple of seconds, it asks you if you want to turn that screen off.
But if you continue to keep it pressed (around 20 seconds, I think), it turns everything off then restarts. It's a soft reset, which is needed sometimes to clear some bugs (not all).

Just like your phone, that sometimes you need to restart!

A footnote to this story … I driove the car today and its the first time I have seen the spoiler visible in the rear view mirror. I had assumed (for past 3 months!) that it only raised slightly and hence I couldnt see it. It seems it was never actually working at all, and the ’reboot’ got that going too. I wonder what else has been fixed… or broken … as a result of the power cycle…

I take that back - its stopped doing it again!

Are there two levels of extension for the rear spoiler? When I extended it manually it said it had reached the intermediate point on the display…

CORRECTION: I searched a little further in the forums and found that the sunroof being open changes the level of the spoiler - and extends it higher, making it more visible in the rear view mirror. As this morning was the first day of sun in Manchester, UK since I took delivery on 31st December, it was coincidental with my power-related issues yesterday!

Thanks will need to try sunroof and bigger spoiler :)

So does soft reset using the volume button mean that all your settings are saved?

How about the hard battery terminal removal reset - does this remove all your settings, phone connections etc?

I dont know about the soft reset with volume button, as haven’t tried that yet.

The recovery driver said that I may have to reset some settings following the 12v lead removal and initially it seemed my wing mirrors didnt retract when I locked the doors yesterday.

I awoke early this morning expecting (and rather looking forward to) having to configure the user profiles again… and absolutely nothing had been lost as far as I can tell. So, it seems like a non-destructive reset thus far.

What a coincidence! I too noticed for the first time, my raised rear spoiler through my rear view mirror and didn't know about the link with the sunroof, as I too had the sunroof fully open on Saturday afternoon, in Manchester. Nor did I know about the soft reset either, which I used this morning to reset my android mobile not connecting.
