No I haven't but that's a really good call out. It's tough to find folks in a different neighbourhood though so that will take some time.
>Does your neighbour's Kia charge at your house? That's also something to test.
Yep, we did and it worked.
My friends charger (kia ev6) doesn't work on my car. My charger using his infrastructure doesn't work on my car either. You're right in the sense it could be a software glitch.
Year and Model: 2024 Macan 4
Your Location: Chicago, US
Charger at Home: Porsche Mobile Charger Level 2
Charging Port: AC Charging Port (Passenger Side)
Timeline: Haven't been able to charge the car at home after December 2025. Nothing works. Visiting the dealership on Jan 14th. I doubt they'll...
Home Charging: Still not fixed. It started right after the December software update. Mine is a 2014 Macan 4. I'm assuming Porsche will just replace it. I'm going to be visiting the dealership pretty soon (1/15) and will update this thread then.
Charging Port: Mine has a manual port. The thing...
Update: Instead of trying the hairdryer, I put a portable heater in my garage. Temperature in the garage was 8-10 Celsius and the charging port opened up. Removed the heater, garage temperature is 5 Celsius and it doesn't open anymore.
Yeah service center folks don't seem to be super educated on this. I've been to the dealership 3 times already and it works there given the room temperature but they don't work outside when it's 20F or lower. It could be metal expansion/contraction issue but unsure what the resolution will be...
Has anyone faced issues with the Driver Side port where it doesn't open in cold weather? My left side port just doesn't open at all in winters and the dealership hasn't been able to fix it. Thankfully the right side port does open but now since the software update my in-house level II charger is...
I'd say it depends on the weather where you will be leaving your car for the 6 weeks. I wouldn't worry too much if the temperature is 15-45 degree celcius range but if it falls below 0 degree then I would leave it plugged in with the target of 50%. Regardless of what Porsche says, the battery...
I am hoping to get PPF on my Black Macan 4 and thinking through if I should get the Stealth or a Regular PPF done. Would love if people have pre and post images.
