    Sunroof Shade

Once the glass is hot, it is nearly impossible to keep the heat from the cabin. And mirror film on the inside makes the glass hotter (and not recommended for home insulated windows because the heat rise ruins the seals). You have to fight this battle with reflection on the outside, which...

Differences between 4S and Turbo - other than cosmetic and the rear motor?

We have a 2012 Cayman S Black Edition (Cayman R in street clothes) with Ceramic brakes - everything else feels heavy (even our GT4)!

Selling my Turbo, only 277 miles

And this is the reason we will be buying an extended service contract, even though such contracts do not include the High Voltage Battery. One electronic part that breaks may pay for the extended service. We keep our cars past their warranty period. Our 2007 Acura RDX is now owned by the third...

Macan EC Model Year 2026 and Leipzig factory closure

Our 2024 Macan Electric Turbo was manufactured at the same time as yours and we have had one small (DC Charge Port Flap) failure in 7,000 miles. The quality difference may be having it delivered to PEC ATL, where it became the first Macan Electric they delivered. Delivery at PEC ATL and the...

Powered Charge Port Door - Be Careful

If the DC charging flap was damaged, Porsche has a new replacement part number for the DC charge port flap. The part is not yet available. It can be replaced by popping out the broken one and inserting a new one - saves having to rewire the charge port. Our 2024 Turbo DC port flap assembly was...

Successful Tunnel Wash w/ Electric Charge Port Doors & Frunk

We use a touchless car wash where the car remains stationary. See: https://www.macanevowners.com/forum/threads/washing-macan-ev-charge-ports.18173/post-303189

    Unreliable door unlocking

Agree. She has learned to ask for the key. And we have learned to unlock the Macan with the phone app if we do not have the key or if the key is locked in the car inside an RFID pouch. You can unlock the Macan with the phone app with no key nearby. Luckily, it will not start, but it is useful...

Recent issue with departure profiles and charging - anyone seen?

Have read Porsche Instructions that clearly state the battery will sometimes charge to 100% (or >80%, do not remember) to make a battery health check. After driving our Turbo 4,000 miles from PEC ATL to Portland, Oregon, The Macan charged to 100% several times even though we programmed 80%. We...

    Unreliable door unlocking

This has never happened In over 6,000 miles so far with our 2024 early Turbo. Our only issue is seating my wife (walks with a cane) and walking around to driver's side and setting off the alarm because I walked too far from the Macan.

How do I know my rear wheel steering is working?

Agree. It works in the reverse direction (same direction as front wheels) at high speeds and is the mathematic equivalent of a longer wheelbase (more stability).

    Range - again

In an ideal world you could set how close auto regen it tracks with the Adaptive Cruise Control setting, but it does not work.

    Range - again

I love auto regen - it is the most comfortable ride possible for passengers or yourself when you reduce the throttle, especially for rear passengers who may already be motion sensitive. The good news is you never really turn off regen in the Macan. Unlike the Taycan, which has regen, auto...

Air Suspension Dilemma! What's your setting?

We have driven our Turbo EV over 6,000 miles, and in the beginning (OCT 2024) it always defaulted to factory settings in NORMAL. However, after one of the software upgrades, lift stays at the last setting when you start the Macan, similar to our upgraded 2020 Taycan Turbo S. This is extremely...

    Macan RWD Vs AWD

I would strongly consider the 4 just to get electric braking and recuperation. Electric-motor brakes dramatically lower brake dust and brake replacement cost. Downside is slightly less range, but upside is better traction on wet or icy roads. I also agree with a previous comment suggesting...

    New software update

Absolutely agree! Had multiple recalls done on our 2024 Macan Electric Turbo and our 2020 Taycan Turbo S done in one day each (including brake hoses on our Taycan) - one right after the other. Both were flawless. There is always an element of luck, but it mostly takes better prepared technicians...

Great information. How do you find the app version & build #?

    Mobile Charger Red Lights

Your light sequences seem slightly different than ours but I would not be concerned, except for the all red. Ours normally only shows 100% and On/Off as green when charging. On/Off turns yellow when charging has paused. The left side symbols flash on when connecting or turning on - they are...

Macan EV is 44% of Macan Q1 2025 Sales in North America…complete failure (not!)

We stopped at COSTCO near the Denver airport while driving home to PDX from PEC ATL and were blown away by the largest line of 350 kW chargers we have seen - all next to the COSTCO front door. Every charger was plugged in, but the wait was short because the turnover was high, and every major...

    NACS to CCS1 adapters

As others have noted, Tesla has to turn on Porsche charging on stations without Magic Docks. I purchased the newest Lectron Tesla to CCS adapter because Lectron apparently makes the adapters for Rivian. The quality looks impressive, but I have not had the opportunity to try it. Driving cross...
