I recently had a loaner Macan 4 with 14-way comfort seats. My wife found it tricky to get out of the car due to the bolsters on the base and height of the vehicle, a real problem for us!
However, the dealer had a Macan GTS with 18-way seats in the showroom. My wife did not find the bolsters any...
Earlier this week, I had a loaner Macan 4 (with 22" wheels), it averaged 2.4-2.5 miles/kWh, with a lot of higher speed A/M roads, e.g. 60-70mph, plus some stop/start traffic on the A1 for ~20-30 minutes, and a bit of faffing around with the car at car parks and on my drive to learn about the...
I had a loaner this week and wanted to change the default to mi/kWh - found that setting quite quickly actually. I find this easier for my head to compute range, I was seeing ~2.4-2.5 mi/kWh, so total range is approx 250 miles. I could not get on with the kWh/100 miles either! Yes this is my...
I see, similar to the Bose system settings then, I wonder why no EQ?
I'm going to have to have a listen to a system, it's an extra £3k over the Bose in the UK.
I've had many BMW's over the past 30 years, and always spec the HK audio system - the odd time I listened to the base systems, I was very disappointed!
The Macan EV I recently had for 24h, had a Bose system. Just two tone sliders - Bass and Treble. I could not get this system sound to my...
I had a brand new 2026 model year Macan 4 24h loaner - the average consumption 2.5mi/kWh over 163 miles. Weather is cold, wet and miserable, so aircon and lights on, seats some of the time too. Lots of higher speed roads covered at ~70mph +/-!
I'm expecting this is just a safety net and the misses will get used to the vehicle, vs our current X1 (similar height, more flat seats) and M5 (lower, more sporty seats) - it's the combination of bolsters on the seat base, depth from seat to edge of car, and height. All together, made the exit...
Thanks for all the info everyone, I have now booked a test drive with the dealer, explaining I need to understand this better. He said what has been mentioned here, tap the chassis/suspension setting, set it low. Will see how practical that is in reality, as it seems like a bit of a faff.
I read the manual, and Smart Lift says you select the level, so I read that as I could set a low level at a specific location, i.e. 'Smart Lift' is a bogus term, it should be 'Smart Level'? Am I reading this incorrectly?
Well, Macan sits quite high, and shorter people have to 'slide' off the seat to touch the ground ☺, so lowering would be nice. An X5 with air suspension can be lowered, it drops ~40mm I think, and it makes a bit of difference.
Are you saying the Macan with air suspension has no manual control...
I am wondering if it is possible to have the suspension lower automatically for entry/exit, to make it easier to get out particularly (without brushing your legs on the side sills).
Thanks, I looked, I haven't compared the specs to my 'desired' spec, but there certainly seems like a bit of choice for new cars coming, especially 7 GTS and 7 Turbo, only 1 4S!
Is it possible to determine the availability date of these, or is that just 'soon' as they are listed?
