Worked fine for me - you are viewing code in the PCM and you can pay 3 to 5 times more for a full on diag tool that a repair shop would use for fault diagnosis with its own screen etc. But I just wanted to change some coding and it did the job fine for turning a function on or off its change a 1...
I chose the cheapest I could find - the THINKDIAG and their app - It works best with an Android phone - which I did not have so purchased one of those too just to run the app. It comes with 2 years SW access and you need your VIN number to download the correct SW. The two use bluetooth to...
You can go in and change the code for the seat and steering wheel travel with an OBD 2 dongle or full on diag unit - I've done it for one of my other Porsches - you can program the seat travel for comfort entry mode up to 200 cm - its standard setting is 25 cm - not much. It takes about 5...
Just as a summary / follow up on my saga - Porsche local wanting £2086 just for the labour cost to exchange the lower splitter on my Macan Turbo that I was supplying ( or Porsche UK was who sold me the car ) I eventually took the car and splitter to Porsche UK HQ after the sales outlet arrange...
Just replied to another fuse location request - under the hood RHSide fuse 2 needs a 5 amp thats the ACC 12 volts that goes to the Dash Cam harness in the overhead panel
I can confirm that the dash Cam prewiring requires fuse 2 in Fig 133 for those who like to do things themselves or fit a non Porsche Dash Cam - the wiring harness is all there but they don't fit the just ( 5 amp ) this is an ACC power line so turns on with the start stop button
My front splitter is in the process of being replaced - there was a minor scratch on it when I went to take delivery of the car and they offered to replace it - its a Macan EV Turbo and the splitter is in gloss black. They are not pained but gloss black plastic. Since I have a dealer closer than...
Various car get them - they are know as corrosion worms - They are most common on cars that use the old acid wheel cleaner spay - works great but what you see is the penalty - don't use acid based wheel cleaners just soap and water hard work but you will not see the ' worms ' on your wheel centres
