I have comfort entry enabled but I find that it hardly moves the seat/wheel at all. Is it possible to customize the seat travel, either through the PCM or coding?

I’ve considered the trick of using one of the other two memory buttons to set my own Comfort Entry settings, but since I’d be sitting in the seat that requires holding rather than tapping the button until everything repositions. Then, I’d probably also have to hold the “1” button the next time I get in to go back to driving position.

Truly a first world problem, but more annoipointed with Porsche for the poor execution of the feature.

As strange as it may sound - I’ve had the same happen when the car is also slow to respond in opening mirrors and connecting to CarPlay. I’ve found it happens when the car is in a poor signal area. I’m not sure that the seat movement should be linked to the signal BUT as is likely, the car is going to the Cloud for the profile.

Not possible to set Comfort Entry other than the manner you describe.

Single tap on 1, 2 or 3 with the driver's door open and the car powered off should work. If the door is closed and car is powered on then you must hold 1, 2 or 3 until all settings are retrieved.

This should work for the retrieval of what Porsche terms "ergonomic settings" on any Porsche with either Driver Memory or Comfort Entry options.

You can go in and change the code for the seat and steering wheel travel with an OBD 2 dongle or full on diag unit - I've done it for one of my other Porsches - you can program the seat travel for comfort entry mode up to 200 cm - its standard setting is 25 cm - not much. It takes about 5 minutes to set up and change the code. The key used remembers the setting from last use

What dongle and app did you use? I will give this a try. I am also disappointed in how little the seat and steering wheel move.

I chose the cheapest I could find - the THINKDIAG and their app - It works best with an Android phone - which I did not have so purchased one of those too just to run the app. It comes with 2 years SW access and you need your VIN number to download the correct SW. The two use bluetooth to communicate but you need a wifi connection for the phone to communicate with the app. The code changing is quite straightforward there are loads of things you can change. It accesses the On Board Diags (OBD) and you can reset and change things like the comfort seat travel, indicator flashes, service interval - some are just a change a 1 to a 0 some are enter a number ( like seat travel ) and write the code - check out Youtube for examples.
