Silent yes but noticable as the PCM tells you that fob/tag is not present usually followed by a phone call. With it no longer integrated and being a standalone notifications are sent by text. Haven’t had it long enough too see if you have low battery alerts.
It’s the Vodafone myconnected car app. TBH being an EV not sure how they lock the engine. I’ve had notifications that an attempt has happened when I haven’t had the fob but the car still switches on. Think I should try to physically move the car and see what happens.
I’m thinking they might be fitting a slightly different one for that price. Unless they’re doing it under offer. Going rate seems to be £499 installed with £200 yearly subscription at most places. Check its a Vodaphone S5 VTS+ with automatic remote engine lock like the one fitted to mine.
As I mentioned earlier. Porsche tracker is no longer integrated into the car or the Myapp. Completely standalone now.
Looking at features I would say this is the closest to what is being fitted if you go via Porsche...
The lines are fairly blurred when it comes to Ghost and warranty. I have been told by both installer and dealer that they can void warranty if installed. My understanding is that it has to direct affect the part in question. With Ice cars and multiple mechanical parts it would be hard for a...
No longer seems to be the case. MY26 Macan installed now purely Vodafone via Myconnected car. FOB still required as No fob - No start system. Tbh probably not massively different then the one linked above
Happened to me after getting it PPF. Not sure if connected to digital key as it started when the detailer had the car. Porsche just had to recalibrate the boot sensor. Tech thought it was strange as there should’ve been a warning saying it needed recalibrating.
Available templates were only suitable for the Turbo, 4s and 4. There are considerable difference with the GTS meaning new templates were required. My car was kind of a guinea pig. Thankfully my detailer has a very good relationship with Suntek and was able to get them to out to create the new...
Possibility they could haved jammed you key signal upon locking and leaving the car? Think it happened to me once in a retail park. Tried to lock the car via comfort access a few times. Nothing happened. Tried the key a few times. Nothing. Eventually locked after multiple tries. Believe the...
I believe keys only go to sleep if there is no movement. Not easy if you are walking around a service station. Unfortunately holding the lock and unlock which I do on my Taycan seemingly no longer works on the new Macan key. Tried it a few times.
In a previous post I also mentioned in the new GTS the tyres felt they had a feel of run flat to them. Glad I am not the only person who noticed that. Presume it was fitted with the same Bridgestones that mine came with.
