Got confirmation that my Macan 4 is on its way to my dealership in the Netherlands.
Ordered back in August with an expected delivery date early December. So, more or less 2 months later then expected...
Counting down... :)
Replaced my BMW M2 in 2021 with a Taycan. The Taycan was great car to drive and I'm now waiting for my Macan to arrive, which undoubtably will be amazing as well. Porsche really shows that it is possible to build good en fun driving EVs.
That said, the fact I'm now driving an EV is mostly...
Set-up CarPlay today during my test drive today and I can confirm that Apple Maps can be shown on the instrument cluster and basic navigation information like directions and street names are displayed in the HUD (no augmented reality).
The only downside is that Apple Maps doesn't do any charge...
I wouldn't take this. Porsche is already replacing/fixing these ports before the cars are delivered to customers. That's a red flag imho ;)
I have electric charge ports on my Taycan, doesn't add a lot of value.
After going back and forward on a few things, and having seen some Macans IRL, I finally decided on this (black-themed) configuration: Porsche Code
Pretty happy with this config, not too exuberant, focussed on the things that I value. Now I have a few weeks to enjoy and say goodbye to my Taycan...
I've seen both on the Macan yesterday. The difference is noticeable. It's not like the glass is tinted, but the inner elements. I found this image on the Taycan Forum, which more or less shows this:
After seeing both tinted and non-tinted in real life, I'm definitely speccing the tinted option...
Had a BMW M2 from 2018 'till 2021, then bought a Taycan RWD, now going for a Macan 4.
Interesting discussion here about the rear-axle steering. It was one of the options I initially didn't have, but my sales advisor (in the Netherlands) talked me into speccing it, as well as the Sport Chrono...
As said earlier, personally, I think the non-metallic black looks best. But I don't know for sure whether I should pick satin or 'glossy' black painted rims to go with said black color. Any advise? And what about the window trim, glossy black or leave it as-is?
