  1. Front lower bumper valance / splitter removal

My next plan is to cut / drill out the bottom to access the tabs. It’s getting replaced with a new one I don’t need the old damaged one intact.
  2. Front lower bumper valance / splitter removal

My first attempt trying to remove the old one failed miserably. Those tabs (18 total) are sort of like 1-way insert into a slot opening that's barely big enough for the tab and locked in place, and particularly more difficult for the ones on the ends. Might be easier to release from the inside...
  3. Front lower bumper valance / splitter removal

One online parts store honored the original quoted shipping rate so I finally obtained it. In case anyone wants to see the part:
  4. Front lower bumper valance / splitter removal

Just an update - I have been having troubles obtaining the spoiler. All these online part stores want $300+ to ship to my address, which costs more than half of the spoiler itself. My local dealer - this is a good one - they want $1144+tax for the spoiler that carries a MSRP of $638.31. I was...
  5. How-To: Install Macan EV OEM Front LP

No, it doesn't seem to be for inserting into that area. The position does not match. It's also off-center. If you look at the photo I attached previously with the new bracket mounted to the car, you can tell that tab is aligned with the lower 2 rivets, which are definitely at the painted part of...
  6. How-To: Install Macan EV OEM Front LP

You know what, the problem is only if your dealer, or the person installing the bracket in particular, is capable. I bought a new bracket because my wife got into an accident, so I had to remove the old one the dealer installed. It was not installed properly - they used small metal screws...
  7. How-To: Install Macan EV OEM Front LP

The bracket comes with 4 rivets. You position the bracket to the bumper and mark the 4 holes. It should be pretty simple because there's a place to get around the camera so you know it's centered. There's a protruding tab at the lower center behind the bracket you need to cut out first so the...
  8. Front lower bumper valance / splitter removal

Thanks! I hope I can reuse the rivets or whatever from the existing one.
  9. Front lower bumper valance / splitter removal

That is very encouraging if it only took less than one hour. It means they basically just swapped the part without needing to remove the bumper / calibrations. I’ll fiddle with it when I receive the new part. Thanks!
  10. Front lower bumper valance / splitter removal

Hi, has anyone removed the front splitter to swap a painted / offroad splitter yet? My wife damaged the splitter from an accident and I already ordered the replacement part. It's a $500 part. When the splitter got dislodged I saw some tabs on it which I just pushed back into the bumper. Can it...
  11. How to ensure you scrape your front splitter

It's the wrong part and the whole section is wrong as that's clearly a Macan ICE. The correct part is 95C-807-061-OK1 which is without the offroad package. It's less than $500. I need to replace it and I hope I don't have to take off the whole bumper for that.
  12. Should I upgrade to the S ?

I had a Macan EV4 as loaner when I took my Taycan GTS in for recalls. My wife really liked it compared to my Taycan, but it felt really slow in my standard as it's the slowest car in my stable. Last month before the tax credit ends I decided to lease one but spent a lot of time finding the...
  13. drive seat memory - issue when switching keys/drivers - bug identified

This is rocket science to Porsche. They can make cars but fail miserably in software. It always gets confused with our keys and profiles. Our Tesla works so much better in that regard.
  14. Tire puncture repairs

They have a limit of how big the damage is I believe 1/4 inch and it has to be out of the side walls etc. I am not sure if the cut you have can be repaired.
  15. Tire puncture repairs

Had a puncture on my few hundred miles old McLaren and went to Ameria’s tire. They took out the tire and patched it free of charge. Gave the guy $20. No issue.
  16. Seat Belt Retainer Clip - Front & Rear

I 3D printed the clip. It works well.
  17. Outdoor Electric Sport Sound

Does the car sound different to pedestrians with the sport sound option turned on vs. off and vs. another car that doesn’t have the option?
  18. 2024 Macan EV interior revealed + more specs! 600hp / 737 lb-ft, 300+ Miles Range

100kWh battery, for 310 miles WLTP (which is like 260 miles EPA?), is hardly impressive, far from it.
  19. BMW XM. What are they thinking?

Have you seen the new M2? That’s another wtf moment when I saw the original leaks. I love how the BMW forum people kept saying leaks look bad they look much better in production and IRL. Then the car was officially revealed and it looks exactly the same as leak but they started saying wow looks...
  20. U.S. EV charging issues

Another issue I’ve experienced is that there’s no formal queue or line for a charging spot. With Tesla people usually know where to wait and form a line, not so with EA chargers. People just park around adjacent space and ask people who’s next. However, sometimes there are EA chargers on...
