Different cars for different purposes. Some cars are built to be timeless, others are not. Often times it takes 1) a manufacturer commitment to long term viability and 2) your own life changes and appreciations.

I wouldnt wait until the warranty is over... just have a warranty-qualified shop do the swap and they'll back up their work. I hate disappearing hands and have tons of Seikos that have them and I don't wear the watches or have the energy to sell them.
The new auto 57 and a Moonwatch are really different watches. The Speedy pro is a (very) mechanical feeling smaller wearing manual wind watch without a date or even hacking seconds but is one of my favorite watches on earth.
