I was on track to get a TRD Pro in the next few months, but to my surprise I was able to get ahead and build a house sooner than I expected. With that, I‘ll have to wait till the house is finished before I buy my 4Runner. That will put me going for a 2026. I’m hoping Toyota decides to do a metallic black and adds the HUD on the Pro line instead of keeping it exclusive on the Platinum. Anyone else have any hopes that will be changed or added?

Mainly internal and external color choices.

We're closing on a house next week, so our purchase has also been pushed back a bit.

I hope they bring us some new options in Canada such as a SR5 with heated steering wheel and 5 seats only. Better color options for the SR5 would be nice.

I'd take a price drop too but this will never happen :ROFLMAO::LOL:

90 percent of them are gray scale. Black to white and the in-between grays and silvers. The only decent one currently is the Heritage Blue. Oh, and the old man Buick red. Give me a bright red, Blazing Blue Pearl, etc. Voodoo, Solar Octane are my favorites. I'm a boring dude, I need exciting car colors :D

Maybe dual climate on the premium trims. Or at least move the fan speed knob back to the proper side LOL

Coming from a 2025 Limited - IF I had the money..

  1. A more robust AVS system; I'm sure you've probably heard that the ride can be jarring, but it's extremely odd that the pavement princess trim somehow feels more bumps in the road than the TRD Pro models (MIL also has a 2025 TRD)

  2. Grab handles on the driver side A-pillar (even the new style) and regular style grab handles for backseat passengers. It's odd that they didn't include them given how tall the car is and how people hang jackets off those things in the back seat

  3. Cargo area/3rd row HVAC vents; for the money that I paid I kind of expected more out of the Limited trim with optional 3rd row seating. Even if not for the 3rd row, I'm sure plenty of dog owners who keep their furry friends back there would appreciate it for hot seasons like the one we're going through now
Outside of these gripes, I actually fudging love the car. Have a couple of road trips coming up these next few weeks so it'll be nice.

I doubt we see any changes to the 2026, lol. They’re delayed and practically struggling to get the current model delivered fast enough.

Would love to see it have a bigger gas tank, but in all honesty, Toyota has struggled real bad to release the 2025 model. There are thousands sitting at ports and rail yards on qc holds and inspection holds. They are nowhere near where they want to be for sales. I don’t see any big changes coming for the next few years. They will play catch up and push to release full waves of production before they make any big changes.

What is the QC hold about … anybody know?
It was officially labeled QC534-Air dam service/replacement.
toyota received a ton of complaints and information that the front air dam was coming off or loose, causing safety concerns. 4Runners that have been already sold and come into dealerships with those complaints are waiting on replacement parts. Toyotas, like mine, that were waiting to be delivered to dealerships were all placed on holds on either 05/15 or 06/03. All Toyotas at the ports or rail yards are on a qc to have the air dam issue addressed. Mine has been at the Long Beach port since 04/28 and placed on the hold on 0/15.
