4g vs 5g vs Bose Audio ouptut

I have read a few posts on the Bose sound system not living up to some of our standards and read that some have had it “break in” after a few thousand miles. BUT I’ve noticed recently that mine seems to go in and out, some songs hit like they should when the next falls flat. I thought it might be the platform I was using but that didn’t seem to matter. Then I started to notice that when I’m not in 5g coverage the audio is not as good. Not necessarily looking for a fix here but wondering if others have experienced this too?

What is your sound source? Are you streaming through the car’s data connection? An app in the car or on your phone?

If the connection drops from 5G to 4G you’re probably in an area with poor coverage and data speeds. That could cause streaming to automatically drop to a lower bitrate.

I am using CarPlay and was going between Pandora and Apple Music streaming trying to investigate if it was a specific platform that was giving me an issue but now it appears to be related to the 5g vs 4g. Without making a downloaded playlist or knowing when I’ll go in and out of coverage I’m not sure there is a way to get around it. I don’t have my tape deck Walkman converter anymore
