Hi guys, Har here. I'm driving a black base Macan 4 since november. I have it on a 5 year lease through my employer. To stay under my permitted lease budget I only took these options :
- 4 zone climate control
- Privacy glass
- Steel suspension with PASM
- Rear side airbags
Until now very happy with the car and being a petrol head surprised myself how quick I got used to driving electric and appreciating it. In the nineties and early 2000's I owned a 1983 911 SC and enjoyed the real-wheel drive and overall experience from that car. The Macan 4 is a different driving experience of course but for me it's as exciting and fun to drive as the 911. I read all the issues in this forum drivers had with the new Macan but (knock on wood) until now I only had the Assistance systems error twice in the first week, since then luckily not. I have a little more over 1600KM driven it. I am curious to hear your experiences with the Macan EV when you have it. Have fun & enjoy !

Previously I had one of the first Taycan’s, also a great car. Looking forward to next Tuesday✅

Beautiful car Ben, about the same spec as mine will be, apart from the color. Happy with it?
Hi Paul. I am certainly satisfied with the Macan. Unlike the Taycan, there are few technical problems. I now sometimes hear a thud at the front near the speed bumps. The cause is probably the engine mount. The dealer will check this soon (Porsche bulletin # 2432).

Furthermore, my brakes sometimes seem to 'stick' when driving away, if I have not used the car for a few days. I also had other tires put on it. I already wrote a thread about how the tire choice at Porsche is a lottery. I had the Bridgestones replaced by the much quieter Goodyears. They also have lower rolling resistance.

But other than that, the Macan is fine. It is significantly quieter than the Taycan. I had air suspension in the Taycan just like now, but this is also more comfortable.

When I bought the car, the 20" inch rim was too ugly and there was nothing left but 21". Now there is more choice and I would recommend the 20” Macan S wheels.

The finish is top notch. Just like with the Taycan, I opted for the extensive leather package and the beige stitching contrasts nicely with the black leather dashboard. Also again a beige leather interior.
In retrospect, I should have ordered the Karuun wood. However, there was no example of that when I made my definite order, so I didn't know if it was a good choice. I will also have the rear window wiper sprayed in body color. You couldn't order that back then either.

Thanks for your reply Ben. Hope your problems (good te read there are just a few) will be solved soon. About the tires, you would think Porsche would do extensive testing with different brands and make a sophisticated choice. But probably the best deals with manufacturers are an important criterion.

You're right, the standard 20" would not be my choice, I chose the same you did, and I must say they look great on your car. Your recommendation of the 20" Macan S is probably based on better economy and comfort?

I chose the truffle brown interior. Ik know some people don't like it, but I like it a lot. With Karuun wood by the way.

Here my configuration:

Neo Slate Grey! Ordered same color and same wheels. See my configuration : http://www.porsche-code.com/PSSVCBZ4
Nice! Almost the same config. The neo slate grey looks amazing in real!

In terms of choosing for the 4 vs 4S. I've test drove both. Honestly, for me the car will be used in the Netherlands 95% of the time. Both cars are fast as f***. The salesman was very nice explaining the differences and personally didn't recommend the 4S. I liked his honesty and the fact that we can hardly speed anyways. The 4 was therefore an easy choice (and it saved me a few 1000€).

Made the same choice, for usage in the Netherlands I think the Macan 4 is totally satisfactory, so I used the price difference for some extra options.

I noticed you will have the truffle bown interior too, nice!

The interior killed me! I had black before, I actually went multiple times to configure the car. The last time I went, there was a fully optioned Macan Turbo with the trufflebrown interior. I immediately fell in love. Pictures doesn't do it justice tbh.
