As to anyone losing interest I think people after 6 to 10 months want to see feel and touch what they're being promised. Scout's Marketing and management know this their playing this like an old Benny Hill episode some will leave early some once it comes time to splash down the real cash. And some will endure the journey and hopefully enjoy a well engineered marvel that we leave to a loved one. That's the Scout I want now let's limit the fanfare and show me the Scout !!!!

Still exited. Since it will be both DD (95%) and fun car (5%) for me, I am hoping it has comfortable seats more than anything else!

Anyone with a reservation spot in front of me, feel free to cancel!!:CWL:

Good idea, but as far as I know the reservation numbers are not sequential, that would make it hard to know.

Not losing interest at all but realistically I see production deliveries more into 2028. In the meantime I traded in my S5 coupe on a CPO BMW X5 45e PHEV. There is logic here...stay with me.

1. I'm 6'4 and my boys are tall so the coupe was fun really for me except when getting out.
2. I wanted something bigger, more comfortable and updated as well as room to drive around with my 90lb dog and family with ease.
3. The BMW is ~.2 seconds slower to 60 than the S5 so it can still be fun.
4. 30 miles of electric range is really all I need for over 90% of my driving since I work from home and the office is less than 20 miles away. I have used less than a 1/4 tank of gas in the last 2 weeks!

The X5 has a lot of options I love, some not needed, but is a great comparison against the Scout. I'm a big German Car fan so fit, finish and build quality are critical to me and at the price point of the Scout will need to compete with BMW/Audi etc., or it gets lumped into the Tesla category.

I'm still excited to see the progress of Scout and can't wait for testing/drives in more production ready examples to get an idea of what's going to be.

I have lost interest along time ago. I have not asked for my deposit back yet, but I am getting ready to.

Regardless of what is said in this forum, why isn’t Scout communicating with those that submitted reservations? A quarterly newsletter, officially from Scout or something, anything, hello?

I forked over money with my reservation I should get some courtesy from Scout. Or is this an indicator of how their long-term customer support is gonna be?

I think a lot of reservation holders are going to be driving other vehicles do to time restrictions. Scout as it evolves will loose the luxury minded people who see Scout as a refined Wrangler and who are accustomed to to the likes of Lexus and BMW so I can see 35% of current Reservations being cancelled but the time we see vehicles coming off the SC assembly line. I waited for a Cadillac Lyriq when first announced took so long I bought a Volvo plug in. This is no different delays cause fracture and scouts a unique vehicle but people need and want it now so their force to shop elsewhere especially those who aren't in the multiple vehicle household. Happy Father's Day to all !!!

my interest is still super peaked because there’s nothing else out there that’s exactly like the Terra. The combination of Harvester, Bench Seat, and possible Canvas Roof, along with the frunk space, and hopefully rubber floors is ideal to me.

I’m also 38 and have only bought 4 vehicles for myself in the last 20 years… so, I tend to stick with things once I get them. My current truck is at 9.5 years of ownership.

The only things that could hurt my “interest” in the interim are if my current truck breaks down to the point of it being more cost-effective to buy another, I crash it bad, or they drastically overhaul the feature set, or the price goes through the roof.

I've lost interest. As previously stated in this thread, I just don't see how a powerful-enough and reliable engine/generator stuffed between the rear axle and bumper is going to work. The more I see/hear from the CEO I get a cringe snake oil salesman vibe, and if the Slate EV is really going to happen, that's all I need, and I'll just keep my Bronco.

But to Scout's credit, they do a monthly update on the production facility, if one cares about the sausage making. But I need to hear the details on the Harvester to get me back interested in the Terra; sorry, but "confirmed" Mexico-sourced VW 4-cylinder is not enough info at this late stage of the game.

I just bought a Cadillac Vistiq got 11 k in incentives while they still exist. When I get a email or call one day from Scout that it's time to see feel and touch 2 yrs from now I will cross that bridge when it happens. But I've come to realize I don't need an off-road vehicle I rarely would need that option. I do need a comfortable cruiser that me wifey Louie our English bulldog can navigate life in. With current conditions in our world and country I am glad I bought an EV. To me a 65 yr old dinosaur it just makes sense. All the best to everyone.

From a similarly aged dinosaur - that's a damn nice looking vehicle! Hope it does well for you and your family...

Thank you it's an Electric Tahoe High Country as to Scout my daughter who is a Jeep person and I intent to keep our reservations but after driving the Electric Caddy and the Cadillac network along with tax credits it made sense I think EV's in general will see a rush before tax credits are repealed
