I wanted to quickly share something odd I experienced with the tire pressures on my car in case other end up with a similar situation…
When I took delivery of my Macan 4 with 21” All Season tires, I noticed in the TPMS that the tires were at 30 PSI and they were all reporting as being 4 PSI over the desired pressure in the PCM. I was a bit surprised by this and checked the sticker by the driver side door and it stated the target pressure was 45 PSI.
I dug into the Tire Pressure settings and it had the correct 21” All Season tires selected, but I toggled “Partial Load” -> “Full Load” -> “Partial Load” and it corrected the target tire pressures to 40 PSI (partial load) and 44 PSI (full load). This was much closer to be aligned with the 45 PSI on the door sticker. After doing this toggling in the PSI, the care suddenly showed an error because all four tires were 10 PSI under their target so I drove to the gas station to fill them up for 40 PSI.
There’s definitely something off with the initial tire pressures settings in the PCM or some part of the PDI process that didn’t set the correct target tire pressures which likely lead to the folks at the dealer not inflating the tires before they gave me the car.
