Odd Issue, my rear camera seems to be weeping?!

Have had my 4S for a month now, love it in spite of a very minor issue or two. Here is a strange one: Several times over the last week, I've had an oily substance leak from the area of the rear camera/hatch release button. It's enought to cause a few streaks down the back hatch. It easily cleans up with mild cleaner, but I can't figure what could be the source. Any ideas? We've been having warmer weather, up to 38c/101f. I don't have a rear wiper. I've washed the car once, but this started several days after that and doesn't seem related. It is definitely originating from the car as it has appeared inside the garage, and outside as well.

The rear camera has a washer function, accessible from the camera screen. My guess is with the high temperature the washer fluid in the lines expands and leaks out.
