Hi all,
I’ve got a bit of an annoying metallic rolling sound coming from the rear seat area and wanted to see if anyone’s experienced something similar.
It sounds like a loose bolt or even a coin rolling around. I only really notice it at low speeds, but it’s definitely something moving rather than a fixed rattle.
I’ve checked the obvious places (door bins, visible areas, etc.) and there’s nothing there. My suspicion is that something like a coin or small bolt may have slipped into the gap around the seatbelt area and is now rolling around somewhere underneath or inside the seat base/void.
A few questions:
A) Is it actually possible for something to fall into that area and move around like that?
B) If so, is it straightforward to lift or access the seatbelt base/seat area to check, or is it more involved?
C) Alternatively, could this be something else entirely that might need a dealer to look at?
Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated—driving me mad trying to track it down!
Thanks in advance
