I just completed a round trip from central Illinois to Cleveland (my first extended adventure in the Macan), going in some good rain storms and coming back against 30+ mph head winds. No real issues or anxiety. Winds took out about 6-8% of range. Electrify America charging all the way, but did encounter several chargers down on the path in Ohio. All in all though, have to say I enjoyed the experience.

I just did a 4-week trip in my 2025 4S from North Carolina, out to all the national parks in Utah, on to the San Bernardino Mountains, and then because I there was hardly any snow this winter in those places, I swung north to Bozeman, MT, to visit on old college roommate.

I got caught in one snowstorm going over the pass near West Yellowstone, then the next morning I needed to outrun another storm coming from the west, and almost caught up to a third storm in North Dakota/Minnesota.

The Macan handled all that well, although the efficiency was really low leaving the Southeast--I left that unusual week where it didn't get above freezing--and then coming back across the northern plains, when it rarely got above freezing. I was glad I had winter tires put on for the trip.

I will get around to sharing some photos in the trips sub-forum, but here are the stats for the whole trip.

• Driving time: 129 hours, 46 minutes
• Distance: 6,891.6 miles
• Consumtion: 39.2 kWh/100 miles
• Speed (avg.): 53 mph

The average speed was reduced by all the 2-lane mountain roads, and all the driving in snowy ruts on US-20 and I-90/I-94.
