Seatbelt Height Adjuster Column Cracking Noise When Hot

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has experienced the issue of having both driver and passenger seatbelt height adjuster making a crackling noise when left in the sunlight for a bit, and if they may know how to fix it. Have also noticed the back single seat in my car rubs against the middle seat and also produces an annoying noise (when occupied), so any fix on this also would be appreciated.

I have the same type of issue with creaking from the passenger side front sear belt height adjuster plastic housing. However, it's all the time, not just when hot. Very annoying and always there...... ?

I also have the same problem. It started as well when the weather became hot, and it is mostly located in the seatbelt mechanism on the driver's side.

The noise is really annoying while driving, especially when going over speed bumps or rough patches, or during sharp stops or accelerations. I’ve scheduled an appointment with the service center next week so they can try to fix the problem in some way. I don’t feel comfortable trying to fix it myself by lubricating the mechanism or in any other way.

Try to leave it always stored at the upper position, use the belt stopper for it.
