The 14-way and 18-way seats really don't suit tall drivers

I need to make a decision. My 4s order goes FIRM tomorrow.

I'm 6'3 and with longer legs with wide shoulders (was college swimmer). I don't mind the 14 and had 14 in my past ICE Macan. But I test drove both and liked both, but can't decide.

It would be a no-brainer on behalf of the 18, but some guy in another thread complained about his 18's calling them hard and said he needs to drive with a pillow (?)

I find this to be maybe a stretch.

Thanks @kaiju , we have 2 Macans and the other car has 14's. I do like them better. But as another member said either my 18's are getting a little softer or I'm getting a little more used to them.
You are saying you like 14's better?

I'm 6'5 and about 200 lbs. Generally thinner frame. I got the 14 way seats because no massage function was a deal breaker for my wife. I think initially I was overthinking the seats and trying to "feel" any potential problems with them, but after 3 months I think they are great. No complaints. Like every car I've ever owned, I would prefer a more extreme leg extension on the front of the seats, but that's dreaming for any car without a custom seat.

I recently got a macan ice loaner and it has the 18 way seats. My initial reaction when I sat down for the first time was that they it was way too tight with the bolstering. However, I do have to say after a couple days I've gotten used to them also and they are comfortable. Between the two, I think I would still pick the 14 way was my preference for overall comfort (regardless of the massage functionality).

ok, thanks all. My build sheet has 14's currently. I'll leave it that way.

Whats wrong with the 8-way seats?? 😂
Honestly, they are probably just fine. For me, decisions on most of these things are knowing I didn't get the "best" and "fear of missing out". However, after a few months, most of that anxiety goes away.
