In keeping with the return of physical buttons and knobs in the Scout I would like to propose a simple control for the Harvester system simply called "The Knob". This would eliminate the proposed three settings for the Harvester: EV only, mixed, and max charging. The Knob would be an actual knob that allow users to set the point at which the the range extender turns on at any charge level between the optimal max and min of the battery system. Turning The Knob would clearly display the set point, EV Range, and total range on the display momentarily. I recommend Scout act quickly before I trademark this idea and sell it to the highest bidder😉

Got range anxiety? Don't fear, The Knob is here.

I’ll second your The Knob™️ and add a vote for a The Button™️ that can be pushed to turn on Harvester.

If I’m staring at an 8 mile steep grade I want to be able to just blast harvester on demand.
They could even put The Button inside The Knob🤯

Good idea… something like the Drive Mode Button in a Porsche?

So you’re saying that you don’t want to control the harvester feature via the touch screen interface? Should the button within ‘the knob’ have that little decal graphic stick man pulling up the fuel level gauge indicator needle that some dudes put on their fuel doors as a joke? And keeping with the Seinfeld references, some extra wide cruising lanes would be nice for Scout to sponsor! (Mile marker 119 if I’m not mistaken, Ha ha). Anyways I could get behind ‘the knob’, I’m indifferent though so long as it’s current status is clearly displayed on the instrument cluster at all times.

Sir, that's a switch.

I'm just kidding. Yes, I think that has all the basic design elements. I definitely wouldn't want it on the steering wheel though.

Mode select brings up an important issue. I find driving mode select only gives an illusion of control. People don't really understand what the different modes do or how to properly apply them. Ramcharger seems to operate on a similar principle with limited control or understanding of the generator. The Knob on the other hand would be intuitive and simple. Full control of Harvester while letting you know when and how it's operating with just a quick glance.
