NWA: just picked up my first microbrand from Korea, called Pitzmann II (their second release) after seeing a few early reviews online.

40mm case, less than 11mm thickness, powered by a modified Selitta SW300 movement with 50 hr PR, and 150m water resistance with screw down crown, fully lume hr markers and hands. ??

For a retail price just under $1000, this is a really nice sport/dress no date in the vein of a budget Grand Seiko or Omega Aquaterra. Also being Korean born I'm happy to support a product from the motherland made by people who seem to have a real love of horology ??

Freshly restored, a Seiko 5 model 7009-876A, 1995.
Getting better at this and it's quite rewarding to do.
One thing to do: replacing the bearing of the rotor, it's wobbly...other than that it works well.

That was about 5 hours of work.
It's hard to keep the sharp lines when polishing the different surfaces...
Anyway, I'm quite pleased with it.

Note: I'm working on cheap watches to get better.
I'm aiming to take a watch apart, cleaning and rebuild it but case refurbishing first.
I already managed to get the hands off and on again. ?
Step by step into restoring watches so to speak...?

Hey, really cool you did that yourself! Turned out great. Certainly a watch like that is going to have a lot more meaning and personal value when you can work on it yourself. I envy that!

Very nice watches here. I stopped wearing my Rolex and Cartier many years ago when I started wearing my Apple watch....I know, I know you don't have to comment )-:

I wish there was an easy way to get a Porsche watch face on the thing! I have seen folks have done it but I have not been able to!

I’d not class myself as a collector and whilst I keep wanting to grab an Omega Seamaster, I know I won’t use it very much. However, I’ve a couple of watches I enjoy occasionally

Firstly my Breitling Navitimer back from Breitling for a service. It’s 1969, the first proper present my Mum gave to my Dad. Dad gave it to me as it needed a lot of money spent on it and he wanted me to restore it and keep it. I have the original manual and receipt for it but no case, sadly although my Dad swears he has it stashed somewhere! Had a full restoration about 8 years ago and I’ve been keeping it ticking since. Lovely thing, a shame I don’t have the original strap but still makes me happy when I wear it!

Also my old daily driver - a Nite MX10. Needs a battery and a service actually but I have an Apple Watch and wear it rarely.

As well as my now daily Apple Watch Ultra, my brilliant G-shock. Used for DIY and other more robust tasks, brilliant thing.

And I made a sunburst. ?
Runs well.

Yeah, that's a very nice piece. Grand Seiko certainly puts amazing quality and detail. It looks good on the bracelet, though it wouldn't stand out enough for me to want one. However, that strap is fantastic - great choice! It brings some *pop* to the game and wins! I would love to have that one. Thanks for sharing.

The Titanium one sounds much the better buy - for little extra cash, you get improved movement and powers reserve, in a slimmer case.

I think it looks great on the blue.

If I were in the market for a watch in this class (Datejust 41), I would definitely get one of these.

Uninteresting story:

Was at a friend's BBQ house party over the weekend and met a fellow watch nerd who complimented me, of all pieces my Seiko SCC-909 Speedtimer on the wrist. From his compliment, I could tell he was a fellow man of culture.

On his wrist he was wearing a Lange Saxonia Thin 39mm. He was cool and let me try it on for a couple wrist shots. What a lovely piece. Further reinforcing my desire to obtain an ALS as my first high horology piece ??
