I tend to buy a courtesy car for cost saving and have done this in the past before buying this Macan, which was brand new.
I think they tend to be looked after by the dealers, as their customers regularly use it, so I wouldn't expect it to conk out in the middle of the road somewhere.
Although there are some who have had serious issues with their cars, there are many who are happy, and there are many who are not on this forum because they don't have issues to report.
As @TomekGnomek rightly pointed out, look into service history before deciding.

Thank you all so much for your feedback. Let's say I was thinking about a trade-in, to quickly resolve the issue, because it seems to me that the dealer is more open to this scenario than buying back the Taycan. I know I'm backtracking, I mean in terms of the car, but I've considered that the Taycan is a very difficult car to sell, mainly due to its reputation as an unreliable vehicle, while the Macan, although not the car of my dreams, is commercially much easier to resell if I ever don't like it. Let's say I'd like it to be free of serious problems so I can use it as my personal car. As long as they are software bugs, that's no big deal. Even the replacement MY2026 Taycan I'm using has them, all you have to do is turn it off and on again. But in the worst-case scenario, I thought that if I had to sell it, I'd be much quicker with the Macan. It's just a quicker way to protect my money, because the legal situation is wearing me down.
You describe, what I did early this year. After a troublesome experience with my 2022 Taycan I decided to trade it in for a 2026 Macan Turbo. So far I can say best decision ever. I like the Macan more than the Taycan for many reasons meanwhile, but the reliability and software quality is a different world for me. Smoother, quicker, nicer in all bits and bobs. Surely the all new Taycan is similar but I am somewhat over the Taycan now. I also made the deal that I sign the contract for an all new Macan but leave the Taycan right away with the dealer. Drove rental cars or the car of my wife for the duration of the waiting time. Once again: totally worth it. Would do it exactly the same way again.

Yeah, I feel like some of the comments have been more subjective than based on logical reasoning. People experiencing issues and stating them on a forum isn't linked to the Macan being a faulty model. Also, using the Taycan J1.1, which was literally Porsche's first EV and was groundbreaking in the sports car segment, as a benchmark for issues is something I find interesting and not fair.

Don't worry too much. The Cayenne software and platform are really robust and seem 100% better, so I have full faith in Porsche EVs going forward. This is also reflected in both the MY2027 Taycan and the MY2026 Macan updates. My dealership also said that all the issues I had were mostly solved by the new updates everyone is talking about. Best of luck.

For the record, I my Cayenne EV was one of the first cars to be delivered in Sweden - It has been flawless and more robust in all aspects than my old Macan.

This morning, still with the courtesy Taycan 4s, I went to see my "new" Macan 4S, very well equipped, I drove it for a few kilometers and it was very pleasant, the driving position is obviously much more comfortable. I tried to test the acceleration and grip on curves, and it's impressive how it feels like a taller sports car, literally glued to the ground. PS: the motorized charging ports are the most annoying thing, before I managed to open it, it collected 2/300 fingerprints. They are sorting out the bureaucratic part, I saw my old Taycan in the workshop, hood open, I took my things and said goodbye, it had a name, never get attached to a car again. The dealership and Porsche split the contribution to finalize the operation, at a very low cost for me. I hope to have better luck with this one.

Use the back of the hand, gently against the part closest to the back of the car. Make sure the car is unlocked, and the port on the other side is not already open (a common failure in journalist reviews!)

Edit: I made a very short video

The power ports are inconsistent. Search these forums for some ideas that will save your sanity (e.g., touch rear door handle / open rear passenger door first, and then place hand over charging door; don’t ask me why - this works for me).

They might have “bypassed” this issue with the Cayenne because you can open both ports through the PCM, not sure if you can do that on the Macan.

Yes , but there’s not rapid key like Taycan on central display , someone tell there’s a key that appears on central display when turn off the car before leave the seat .

Aha.. not fun, but most important is that you get a car that is fun to drive and works well🤝
